I'm actually not sure he brings a massive haul, now that Philly has shipped Simmons and picks for Harden and Golden State has used the three lotto picks they might have offered over the past couple of years to bring Dame home. There aren't a lot of teams out there right now that are gunning for playoff success, can match salaries without gutting their roster, and have pieces a rebuilding team covets.

I started a thread at the T&T Board to resume the discussion on trading Lillard. I know that's not the friendliest place to the Blazers or us fans, but I'll be interested to see what others come up with.

It’s also a terrible time to gauge Lillard’s value in arguably the worst season of his professional career due to a rough start then being injured for about 3/4th of the season. Fans and RGM posters specifically have insanely short attention spans / memories, so what they think he can bring back probably isn’t the most accurate

Oh, I have no illusions about RealGM "value" tracking what a player may actually bring in trade, I'm just curious what's even remotely feasible in a Lillard trade. I think even assuming he's back to peak or near-peak Dame, there is a limited number of suitors and we're likely to be disappointed by the return. I think much has changed in just the past few months, principally that the (IMO) top two likely bidders have probably removed themselves from the running.

I think it will be the Knicks for they are in a division with Brooklyn, Boston and Philly that are
clearly better with Toronto likely better long term. Portland would have to take on Fournier's
contract but would get some solid pieces like RJ Barrett and NY's lottery pick to build a team
around Simons.

I still can't get over the fact that the Blazers held a team to 11 points in a close 4th quarter. And then you look at who played during that quarter versus the projected finishers at the start of the season...

This is the type of team Billups should thrive with, low-expectations young hungry guys that he can motivate to get out there play hard on both ends and catch a few teams by surprise.

I'm not sure how much of a ceiling raiser he is, will have to see as he develops as a coach and gets put into a couple playoff pressure-cookers, but I can see him being a very good floor raiser during the regular season.

Not that that helps the tank...
