I don't see keeping Grant for what he's going to want. He weirdly reminds me sometimes of Whiteside--somebody who can often fill up a stat sheet, but it amounts to not a whole lot. His rebounding issues aren't going to solve themselves. He's not the future of the Franchise, no point in paying him like he is.

I like Thybulle...he's exactly the dirty-work player every team needs and seems to be excelling in that role here. I'd bring him back as long as the price is reasonable. Cam can go. As others have said, despite having most of the tools, he seems to lack the "it" factor for success in the NBA.

Again, I do worry about Sharpe. I recognize that management may want to get an extended look at what they have in MT/Cam, but my spidey sense is that there may be a between the ears aspect to him not getting extended PT. Surely it's not all on Chauncey. I can't imagine Cronin not at least talking to Chauncey about playing the kid.

Sharpe is only 19, it's not like we are taking away ample development time here. While Sharpe is a more valuable player than Simons was at 19 he will be on the team for a long time. I have a feeling his role will grow as the years pass, and as others have said we have to kick the tires on Cam and some others who might be gone soon.

We can all go get the pitchforks if Sharpe is not playing much next year, but he has had plenty of opportunity this year he hasn't rode the bench all year. Over 68 games this year he has averaged 20.8 minutes so again not a ridiculous amount of playtime but plenty of opportunity to actually test out the NBA world. We also might be seeing some fatigue issues take place here, this kid never played an 82 game season in his life before this. The NBA schedule is very grueling and that might be an aspect here as we approach the full 82 games.

In fact it looks like he will play in all 82 games this season, which is a pretty big deal for a player that never played a game in college.
