I think both are very gettable.

Guys like Nas, Keon and Walker plus seconds should be enough for one of them, but depending on the cost I'd be okay with BOTH.

Maybe Bamba could be had for a little depth and some seconds too...

I low key really want Smith or Stewart though.

I think the Pistons just drafted another center. Not sure how many centers they need on that team, but I think they're up to 4 or 5 now.

Detroit picked Nnaji early in the 2nd - but that pick was traded to Charlotte.

As far as buy-low guys, I'd look at Washington. Wright would be excellent as a flexible 4th guard and mentor to Scoot/Sharpe. He fits nicely into the GPII TPE.

Id also look at Gallo. He doesn't fit their timeline, but would be a nice veteran forward (assuming he has recovered from the injury).

I think we could get both for minor assets (couple of seconds or our deep bench guys like Keon & Walker)

Wright is a good fit if either Lillard or Simons goes out in another deal, for sure. I've always liked him as an option for the Blazers. His reputation seemed to tank as it became apparent he wasn't a lead guard, but he's generally been properly cast and has always performed well in a limited role.

While not an upgrade, I would love to see Timme from Gonzaga given a chance and signed to a 2 way contract

If we can't get an upgrade depth would be nice. Someone like Whiteside or Plumlee who could fill in when Nurk is injured or in foul trouble. Doesn't have to be a great player just someone who wouldn't be utterly dominated when they played.

Agreed. Even if they got an All-Star center, they still need to gain some depth.

Portland can just sign someone on a 1 year contract to backup Nurk. Old friends
like Robin Lopez/Plumlee are out there

I know theres been a lot of interest in Wendell Carter Jr, but could the Blazers pry Moritz Wagner away from the Magic?

Looks like a Dame trade might be getting held up by, Nobody wants to look like the bad guy optics. Understandable, but if it happens to happen, and it ends up being with BRK... I could see the chances of Nurkic being included, well over 50%.

Acquiring Claxton for one year (his contract year) would be great, and would allow us to give him a shot as our Center for the future. A tryout. We could also demand Sharpe, who we could also be a future keeper. If both happen work out, re-signing Eubanks plus Walker might be pretty good, especially if we also uprade at PF with bull like RUI.

T&T board discussion, maybe something minor going back to Milwaukee.

PDX: Portis, Gafford
MKE: Jones
WAS: Simons

Lillard - Scoot/Keon
Sharpe - Thybulle/Rupert
Grant - Little/Murray
Portis - Watford/Walker
Nurkic - Gafford/Eubanks

I would think a guy like Clint Capella would be a great fit and cheap to acquire. provides Shot blocking and rebounding at a very good clip and then also would be great in the P&R and rim running in general.

Mo Bamba has been waived. I wouldn't mind us picking him up.

I'm still holding onto some Mo Bamba stock. I think he's a nice option to have off the bench that's a different look from what Nurkic or Eubanks brings to the table.

Wut? Mo Bamba is 25. Eubanks is 26.

Who is 31?

Also I don't know if Bamba is going to get much more than the minimum at this point

Sorry. I fixed my post. Didn't know Mo Bamba is only 25. I'll just stick to the above first part then, respectfully.

I'm just holding on to some hope that we return one or two C/PF types that are both better than the Shaq of Troutdale, but also very much hope we can keep him as a long-term B/U. If Dame asks out, I think this will happen fairly easily, but if Dame stays, it will just take a bit longer. Mo Bamba just doesn't even seem like an upgrade to Eubanks. Rather give those minutes to Watford, Walker and Knox quite honestly.

Bamba on the vet min, why not.

But he ain’t beating out Drew or Nurk in the rotation. Kid has as much fire as a puddle.

I'll go with Embiid. With the Harden soap opera reaching its climax they are going to lose James for peanuts. It's just a matter of time before Embiid asks out.

Portland trades:

Scoot (draft rights)
Simons
Little
Nurkic
1st round pick - first available unprotected

Portland receives:

Embiid

Philadelphia trades:

Embiid

Philadelphia receives:

Scoot
1st from Portland
own 2027 1st back from Brooklyn
Nurkic
Little
Dinwiddie or Harris (both ending contracts)

Brooklyn trades:

Philadelphia 1st returned
Dinwiddie or Harris (both ending contracts)

Brooklyn receives:

Simons

Morey would ask for Sharpe, Scoot, Nurk and picks

Return to Portland Trail Blazers
