A short backcourt will always have it's limitations - especially once the playoffs hit. That said, if the goal is to just
make the playoffs (like say... if you're a team who's giving away a fully unprotected first round pick in a supposedly historic draft), having a potent offensive backcourt with two guards under 6'4", that can get you far in the regular season.
If I'm the Clippers right now, I'm doing everything in my power to have a 44+ win season for the next couple years until these unprotected pick obligations to OKC are settled. The goal is always a ring, but a close second is to not give away Top 6 picks in amazing drafts.
