The Cousins, Lopez, and Howard signings prove players place high priority on having big role on good team.

Lopez had a big role on the Lakers and had a really good season with them. This is the market for bogs like Lopez and I don't see it changing next year either

The NBA market is not really a market. The CBA doesn't allow a market. Lopez, Cousins, and Howard were up against a CBA that left all the teams that wanted to improve without cap room and punitive tax penalties. Teams that have cap room are lousy teams not really looking to win now. Rather than signing free agents these teams with cap room are seeking opportunities to holdup teams facing luxury tax bills.

Cousins, Lopez, and Howard are all going to get bigger deals next year. As long as they can make teams better, they will have a chance to get a bigger contract. It's a matter of teams adjusting to the new CBA, tax penalties, and oversized contracts from 2015 and 2016.

speaking of the Lopez deal: next season will be the first season that Robin makes more money than Brook, and that will be their 11th year in the league.

Brook has made 117M in his career; Robin has made 65M. After next season it will be a 120M vs 80M advantage for Brook. I wonder what that does to brotherly love?

Lebron James has made 237M; Kevin Garnett made 344M; but James will be at 391M when he finishes his new contract

Dante Cunningham has made 16.6M

Bruce Babbitt has made 10.6M

Nic Batum has made 95M and when his current contract ends will be at 172M.... :o

Andre Miller made 98M

LMA has made 148M and when his deal ends that will be 220M

Clyde Drexler made 31M but only about 10.4M as a Blazer

Terry Porter made 27M

Sabonis made 48M but that doesn't count Euro-salaries

Travis Outlaw made 45M....so did Joel Przybilla

Jarret Jack has made 48M

when Evan Turner's contract is complete he'll be at 96M...same for Meyers will put his total to 50M

Brook got screwed by the Lakers. He never sought to change teams in free agency. He should have bird rights. Lakers decided to take unusual measures to create cap room.

Very surprised and Brooks signing for so little. I don't understand that at all. I'd have loved to have him on the Blazers. But these are the types of deals that you can't swing WHEN YOU **** OVER PAY FOR SCRUBS.

Come on Sin -- Dame and CJ are not scrubs - LOL and Myers and Turner are on very reasonable deals IF your trying to sabotage the Blazers ( NeO ) so the LA teams look better.

Fire NeO ASAP -- enuff said

Lopez will be Bucks full-time starting center. Lopez will make a good Bucks team into a better team. He would do very little for the Blazers splitting time with Nurkic. Why would Lopez sign a below market deal with the Blazers?

Right now Netflix stock is valued at exactly 420 dollars per share...

For some reason this seems significant, man.

And to think... Had we actually had a draft pick when he was drafted we probably would have Jordan Bell'd him anyway.

I opened a Roth IRA in 2002...plunked in 5K because i'd had a good year before. I was looking at potential stocks...higher risk ok. I looked at Netflix and it was around 50 cents a share. I figured, wth, why not spend $1000 on it?...I'll tell you why...I was too smart to lose that 1000 dollars by throwing it away on a mail order DVD thing....I mean, it had to go bust, right? So I bought something else that went nowhere. Since then, Netflix has had a 2 for 1 split and a 7 for 1 spilt; that's right...I could have 28,000 shares if I'd been stupid back then instead of "smart".... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Wow, Cleveland doubling down on Love. When they said they weren’t interested in trading him I assumed they were just trying to drive up offers.
