Donovan Mitchell took 35 shots and had ZERO assists in last night's game against the Sixers. He just made CJ look like a true point guard.

true story: I have a flip up phone...a pre-paid (annually) go-phone. I don't text, don't tweet, and the phone hasn't been turned on for 2 weeks. I'm essentially twitter illiterate

I have a facebook account, but I haven't been there in a couple of years. No instagram or any other social media. Don't have an ipad or ipod (my wife does); not tablet or notebook. I type this on a keyboard connected to a tower PC. I'm a dinosaur. I did build the computer myself though. That was fun. I hated loading the software though...I'm a hardware guy

That's what I have too. I ONLY use the "tower" PC to check in on this site. Though I do have a tablet and a smart phone I text on. I'm way more comfortable on a keyword where I type well over 70 words-per-minute. I hate typing on a phone or tablet and avoid it whenever possible.

Lonzo Ball has now logged about the same amount of minutes as Kendall Marshall. I find their statistics to be similar:
https://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/pcm_finder.fcgi?request=1&sum=1&player_id1_hint=Lonzo+Ball&player_id1_select=Lonzo+Ball&y1=2019&player_id1=balllo01&idx=players&player_id2_hint=Kendall+Marshall&player_id2_select=Kendall+Marshall&y2=2016&player_id2=marshke01&idx=players

Lonzo is clearly a much better defender. But it makes me wonder if Marshall would be viewed differently if he had had the hype that Ball has had. Coincidentally, both Ball and Marshall have loud overbearing parents that have caused problems for their player sons.

Some of you old timers may remember the board battles between Portland and Toronto fans over Lamarcus versus Chris Bosh. Most Portland fans didn't try to make the case that LMA was some amazing beast, after all he was viewed as the weakest link in our "big 3", but rather that Bosh was overrated and in fact not much better than LMA.

Well, at this point LMA has played roughly the same amount of games and minutes as Bosh. Their career stats are amazingly similar:

Anybody else notice the BKN NYK showdown tonight featuring 2 ex-Portland big men?

Noah Vonleh - 22/13/3/2

Ed Davis - 17/16/3/1

Pretty Interesting, Bosh's TS% and Efficiency were greater because he was much better at getting to the line that LaMarcus, which is where a lot of debate around "LaMarsha" came into play. LaMarcus is better about protecting the ball... Both were solid man-on defenders and left something to be desired as help defenders.

I still think Bosh was the better overall player, but it's very close.

That said, from the article:

LeBron James and his mom Gloria James have never spoke about who LeBron’s biological father is. Gloria gave birth to LeBron when she was just 16 and she raised him by herself.

IT COULD BE TRUE! haha...

last night:

Noah Vonleh - 22 pts, 11 rebs, 2 asts, 2 blk (9-18 FG, 3-11 3P, 1-2 FT)

Ed Davis - 17 pts, 16 rebs, 3 asts, 1 blk (6-8 FG, 5-11 FT)
***************************************************************
comparing Vonleh this season to Aaron Gordon:

http://bkref.com/tiny/2NFJl

Vonleh - 1.6M salary
Gordon - 21.6M salary

(there's more context to those salary numbers, but still...)

*******************************************************

also, looks like Lebron is tired of another coach:

Vonleh's boxscore numbers are close but not quite correct (I posted them a few posts above)...but the irony still stands, of course.

Speaking of irony, how ironic would it be if Kawhi actually ended up on the Lakers. I wonder how many games it would take before Kawhi's "people" and Lebron's "people" to have a West Side Story style gang fight in the media...
