their cap space to re-sign guys like Jordan Hill after whiffing on Melo.

I wonder what our friend Deep thinks of his teams chances in 2015 even with a healthy Kobe.

To make matters worse if that team has a lot of trouble competing the only thing they do is set up a nice pick for the Phoenix Suns.

I'm pretty sure next years 1st round pick from LA goes to the Suns no matter what.

2015 first round draft pick to Phoenix

L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 1-5 in 2015, 1-3 in 2016 or 1-3 in 2017 or unprotected in 2018 [L.A. Lakers-Phoenix, 7/11/2012]

Okay so the pick has some minor protection thanks for giving the low down on it, if the Lakers get lucky and get into the top tier picks they won't give that pick up.

Oh man, LBJ just singed so he'll be a FA in 2016 because he thinks the New CBA will give players way more money with the increased cap, I guess if we sign LMA/Lopez/Wes in 2015 they will be a bargain. :D

We just redid the CBA and now we're gonna have to worry about it again?

yes, both sides wanted a bail-out provision after 6 years because of the new TV deals that will be coming about then

So in other words we will have another lockout more than likely? Ugh I don't get why professional basketball is stuck in the past with its CBA. There has to be something better than constant lockouts.

At this point will Houston even make the playoffs next summer?

Howard, Jones, Ariza, Harden and Beverly. Best guy off the bench is .. Troy Daniels now lmao

Ugh detroit got DJ augustin for 2 years 6 mil, I would've liked to see the Blazers go after him with the LLE. We wouldn't have been able to offer as much but we could have made the second year a player option.

I'm not sure they make the post season but are they aiming for LA in 2015? I'd LOVE to see the rockets and Mavs load the rest of their cap up for 2015 in anticipation of the 2016 free agency period.

On another note we should see if we can work out a S & T for Aminu. He's still available and the Hornets have Asik so he may be expendable. Of course then comes the issue of what the heck would they want.
