I'm about to get myself banned on purpose, I'm over this team.

BTW, if you do go, thanks for your posts and perspective, which differed from the tired RealGM mantra, which holds that if you just tanked harder, all your dreams would come true. You want to watch quality basketball. I respect that.

You are free to simply leave. No one's forcing you to stay. Just step away, it's okay to do.

This is the first draft I can remember during which RealGM has experienced no server issues. Either they made some smart moves, or nobody cares about this draft.

Edey was never going to get to 14, so I'm even more happier with Ardvija trade

Does Clingan have the face-up game or jump shot to be a credible scorer? Will he get pick-and-rolled into oblivion like most traditional centers? How does he project as an NBA player?

Weird trade with Minnesota. I thought Castle-Dillingham was a potentially great pairing. Instead they traded for a pick so far off into the future that Cronin is mad he didn't think of this first.

It'll be interesting to see who Washington wants at 14

I was going to get some FOMO if one of Edey/Williams/Buzelis dropped to #14. I'm glad they didn't, as this makes the Avdija trade look better.

Dalton is great value at #13 here for some team. I'm shocked that OKC didn't nab him to help them contend, rather than draft SGA's backup.

I obviously would have taken Matas 7 but Clingan was my next highest rated non-Guard on the board.

I like the archetype, defensive oriented C who sets hard screens, rebounds tremendously well, has generational advanced metrics defensively, doesn’t demand usage, plays hard and loves the game.

Unless you have an All NBA talent at C you want low usage guys that set screens and play D. The anti-Ayton. I can see him being a 12 year starter who posts elite defensive metrics, regularity in the top 5-10 for BLK and REB.

If your a believer in Scoot and Sharpe being high usage, high scoring guys then you need to surround them with a connector (Deni) and a screen setting, rim protecting big.

These moves if anything show that the FO is ‘all in’ on the belief that Scoot and Sharpe are our cornerstones moving forward. I am not convinced on either but I like the confidence the FO has and the moves to try and maximize their talent by surrounding them with complimentary guys.

Clingan ending up being the pick definitely makes the Deni trade more palatable.
