There is real concern from Charlotte's end that picking an attack the basket PG like Scoot
won't work since with the return of Bridges, they already have an attack the basket player.

Seems clear Portland will use 23 in some type of deal

Hopefully its not for someone who is in the last year of their deal. That just makes the team
more expensive if they extend him

What does everyone make of Charlotte bringing in both Scoot and Miller on Monday for
a second workout? They can't draft both players without dealing with Portland

To me it says that they haven't made up their mind yet and want to take another look at both.

I make nothing of it outside of it being standard. Jordan wasn't there during the first workouts, apparently, he wants to meet and watch both.

Going to be a wild week in the NBA for Washington was determined to move Beal, fearing Dame
might be on the market with teams preferring Dame.

All they got was getting rid of Beal's contract

Looks like almost a total salary dump on Washington's part. They sure didn't get much considering CP3 will likely get cut in a few days, and be a Laker a few days later. Shamet isn't getting re-routed for any kind of meaningful return, leaving just the picks really, whick also aren't great.

Now that I look at it... I guess Beal did screw Washington over pretty good. Just clearing the $200+ million left of Beal's contract off of their books was worth it to them apparantly.

CORRECT. Jordan just needs to give us Mark... that's all. Here's to Jordan falling in love with both rookies:

Would MJ give up Melo for pick 3?

Wizards trade was a give-away. If that is the haul we got for Lillard, it would be obscene.

That move puts me more in the rebuild camp, because it created another super-team we'd have to get past.

Lillard > Beal.
TBH...with Dame's age and contract, I'm more and more in the camp that says we might not get as much as we think we will for Dame.
Herro
Martin or Jovic
1 or 2 first rounders.
Not a pure salary dump like Beal but not great.

Beal's no trade clause destroyed Washington's leverage.
Thankfully Dame doesn't have one, so if we do trade, the return will be better.
Even though I'm in the trade-dame camp, if an offer that bad was the best we could get, I'd say we keep him.

It seems a NTC completely destroys a players trade value. They can demand to go where they want to go and veto anything else, plus they can veto a trade that guts their new team - both of which really really limit what they can get back.

The NBA/players association really need to set up contracts so that if a player decides to sit out games, then they don't get paid.

That's the only way the Wizards would have had any leverage with that NTC.

I wouldn't. If we needed a PG, then I may reconsider.

Just had an odd thought: What if Jordan has a player currently on lock for #3 if he could get it. Zion maybe? Just give us Mark damn it!

Melo would be re-routed to a third team for what we need

I find it fascinating that Phoenix might be the first team to throw caution to the wind and
make their move before the new CBA is fully implemented.

Let's see if they can "surf" the area between the first and second tax apron for I see they have
10 guys under contract and have a SRP in the upcoming draft to fill a roster spot.

If that's the case, I wonder if Dame changes his mind, if teams like the LAC, GSW also throw
caution to the wind and follow suit. Miami apparently thinks so and sat out trading for Beal.
