Scoot,Sharpe,Deni,Camara,Knecht,Clingan, plus this years pick and we could look like OKC in a few years. Imagine adding Flagg or Bailey to that group.

I don’t know about the trade idea, but there’s already reports the Lakers are aggressively targeting one of Nic Claxton or Robert Williams

also rumors they are shopping Reaves

Timelord for Reaves works. both have about the same salary

so, Timelord for Reaves + Blazer option to swap 2031 picks. Luca will be 32 by then and probably 300 pounds. Might be a good swap.

but if they can land Claxton, that's a better deal for them

We dont need reeves, honestly something like kleber plus a first swap option + a couple seconds would be fine by me. Or set up a magic Ant deal to land us another 1st or 2 so reeves doesn't give us even more of a logjam

That's funny. I just asked that very question in another thread.

Hypothetically, LAL could trade for Ayton

Hachimura\Vanderbilt\Vincent
for
Ayton\Walker\Banton

That would work. Not sure why POR would want to do that, but they have the salary and moving pieces to make such a deal. LA would be pretty light on rotational players" Lebron\Luka\Ayton\DFS\Reaves and then really weak bench of Knecht\Kleber\Milton & Hayes, so I don't think trading for Ayton works for them. Nor POR, Vanderbilt has 4yrs on his deal, w\o any compensation coming back (all they have is their own 2nd & 31' 1st and a couple of pick swaps (which, with LA are worthless IMO).

I think LAL will go after Claxton\RW3, however both teams are going to want a 1st round pick back, so not sure that works either.

A trade not involving LA 31' 1st, includes what then? Knecht?

Vincent\Knecht
for
RW3 would wok

With Luka acting as aPG, wonder if a Simons to LAL for Vincent\Hachimura & 31' 1st? Simons & RW3 for Hachimura\Vanderbilt\Vincent would work as well

I think they end up with Claxton or a center from another team and not POR.

How would Pelinka even answer the phone if Cronin called?

"You wanted two firsts for Grant, I got Luka for one, and now you want one for <insert Blazer vet here>?" Then laugh and hang up the phone

Haha well we both have a compelling point. And I think the answer to your question in the other post is resoundingly yes as 18 mil would be fair market value

Most of this board would volunteer to drive Ayton to the airport

It'll be interesting if the Lakers trade for TL with the 31 pick coming back to Portland

Do teams still have that 48 hour window to trade guys like Maxi Kleber, who would be the
filler in the trade for the Lakers?

Does this website suck for everyone else right now? I'm guessing a ton of people came to the website cuz of the Fox trade, slowing the website down considerably. It's taken me about an hour just to get to where I could post something. I'm hoping it's not a ME problem.

The fox lavine trade gives me some hope we can move one of the players listed in the thread title. Hopefully someone is bidding for jerami as I'd love to eliminate that long term money. Get ant to Orlando as well or anywhere but here. Ayton i dont love but if we deal with him 1 more year until we can move his expiring I'll live

Sac gets 3 picks for Fox: Dallas gets 1 pick for Luka. The league should veto the trade, like they did previously for a lopsided trade. I don't recall the trade; I read it somewhere earlier today.

None of the picks going to the Kings are likely going to be much for the Hornets pick won't convey and
the Spurs with Wemby and Fox pick in 2027 will be in the 20's

I do like the Bulls getting their pick back in the 2025 and they dumped Lavine on the Kings

Spurs made out like bandits in this trade

Yeah, that is a pretty good trade for Sac, I guess.

G Zach LaVine
G Sidy Cissoko (like getting a decent SRP)
2025 first-round pick (top-14 protected; via Charlotte) or Charlotte's 2026 SRP
2025 second-round pick (via Chicago)
2027 first-round pick (via San Antonio)
2028 second-round pick (via Denver)
2028 second-round pick (own)

My guess is that they will not have their pick this year as well as the Charlotte pick. So, it could just be 1 FRP.

Next year they will have:

Monk/Carter
LaVine/Ellis/Jones
DeRozan/Cissoko
Murray
Sabonis

And a $143,968,946 payroll. Smh. I don't think they fared much better than Dallas.

They did for the chris paul to la trade awhile back but maybe there were more deals that got vetoed?

I do like this deal for Sacramento. Lavine is spendy but gives them a quick star power replacement for fox and a good pick package never hurts even if you don't use the picks they're good assets.

Just exceptionally shrewd dealing by the Spurs... and probably some coldhearted manipulation by Fox.

I don’t want to hear anybody say this is going to be a quiet deadline or that the new CBA is going to restrict trades after what just went down this weekend

Nor are there any more excuses for Cronin not to make a trade, Marang kept saying that there wouldn’t be any major trades (big $$) because of the new CBA and if there were big trades & POR did not make a trade then he would call them out.

Well, there are big trades & I bet if POR does nothing, he won’t.

Cronin needs to get off his a$$ and do something, no more excuses

BTW, so much for no team willing to trade first round picks because of the new CBA

My other thought is, with Lavine, going to SAC, where does that leave teams like MIL, MIA, PHX, GS, LAC,CLE, DET, MEM & DEN?

A lot of teams out there that could use some veteran players, let’s hope that one of them wants a POR player & Cronin isn’t too much of a idiot to not make it a deal
