Now that it looks like the Blazers will have 2 lottery picks, it would be a good I'd to watch where the picks might be landing....

New Jersey is #12 in the East with record of 15-29.

Teams around them in the standings as of today....

Cleveland #10 @ 16-25
Detroit #11 @ 16-27
Raptors #13 @ 14-29

Portland is #12 in the West with a record of 20-23.

Teams around them....

Phoenix #10 @ 20-22
Utah #11 @ 20-22
Golden State #13 @ 18-22

The 14 and 15 slots are pretty much locked up in both the East and West with the Hornets, Kings, Washington and Charlotte.

Anyone want to check the schedules of the teams and see how things might shake out?

East Coast bias....it had the Knicks winning twice and they aren't even in the lottery!

Knicks are, technically, in the lottery. I believe their pick is top three protected or something but it belongs to Houston from.. New Jersey or Denver?

the mock draft says the NJ pick we got from the blazers would be #6 and would draft sullinger... he would be fine as a back up for LA but i wouldnt play him at C even if it is "his natural position" hes too short even with his length.

Ignore mock drafts until after March Madness. Besides the Top 3, mock drafts will look drastically different after the tourney is over.

I wouldn't be surprised to see LMA as the team's center.

The C position in the NBA is kind of a joke right now. People are convinced that Bogut, a perpetually injured player, is a Top 3-5 C in the league. So I don't think picking one of the lottery PF/C type guys, I think it doesn't matter who's the "C" or who's the "PF". The position is basically the same at this point.

Sullinger is a bit on the short side, but the guy is HUGE at 280lbs. He could be a beast down low, much like a Zach Randolph or an Al Jefferson. Should the Blazers pick him? I won't say that yet since I haven't really studied this draft much, but I won't dismiss it either.

Portland has two HUGE games coming up against Milwaukee. Home on March 22 and away on April 7. Why Milwaukee you say? Because Milwaukee is the #8 seed in the East. If New Jersey were to catch the Bucks, the Nets pick would go from #9 to #15.

Portland has GOT to lose these two games to help Milwaukee stay ahead of the Nets. ROOT FOR THE BUCKS!! :D

No kidding. The good news is they traded for Monta "Blazer Killer" Ellis, so I wouldn't expect the Blazers to beat them, but who knows.

Rooted for the Blazers to play well for the 1st half of the season, now I'm rooting for them to lose out.

What a freaking season.....

The subsequent pick protection has been announced.

Top 3 protected this year
Top 2 protected next year
Top 1 protected the year after
Unprotected after that

What a great pick.

We really scored on the deal! Now I hope that Chad's momentum pushes forward into the draft--THIS YEAR! This the year I feel we hit it big as a whole!

We need to be careful though. I'm kinda feeling Sullinger and Drommound to be busts, and maybe some of the others. I've got a great feeling about Harrison Barnes though, maybe we can get him.

Kendall freaking Marshall. I'm really hoping we can land another late first rounder to grab him. Have you guys seen this guys passing?! Reminds me of Rondo without the attitude, and a lesser defender.

I'm with you on Sullinger and Drummond!
