ok...was there anybody who didn't see this coming:
Joachim Noah is out for the rest of the season after another knee surgery
will teams ever learn not to take risks on often-injured players, especially bigs?

I still wish Paul Millsap was the Blazers' starting power forward.

Robin Lopez and Serge Ibaka got into a fight last night, although if you watch the video, it looks a lot like shadow boxing as their two punches went wide...by quite a bit:

Re: The NBENFANT Thread (NBA): 2016-2017 Edition
McCollum is the perfect scorer. The one concern for him coming out of college was how he would fare vs 7 footers scoring at the rim, he wasn't good vs small school centers.
He struggled every year of his career shooting below or at avg at the rim for his position. Hovering around 50% now he shot 58% at the rim. Some context, before this season Lillard only scored above that rate 1 time and he is a very good scorer at the rim, maybe the best in the league. Very good improvement on McCollums part.
McCollum overcame this weakness by just shooting a lot of 10 footers and floaters of which he is well above avg in that area, often in fastbreaks he would stop at 8 feet and shoot a jump-shot rather than go for the layup. Well now he doesn't have to and is a major reason he is shooting 48% from the field very close to 50 40 90 while being a high volume guard, only CP3 and Curry to my memory have almost gotten it while being high volume guards. I am glad he found a way to finish more crafty at the rim. Now he just needs to get more calls and increase that FTA rate to 4.5-5 a game and he'll be a 25ppg player.
Imagine having the luxury of having 2 25ppg players. I remeber in 2011 when we wanted just 1 uber good scoring Derrick rose like guard, now we have 2, on 4 year contracts starting in July . I can't wait till we get more Nurkic level talent around them and push forward next year.

Good lord, for as good as Lowry has been in the regular season, I can't recall any player ever being this horrific when the playoffs start. If I remember right, he pretty much stunk it up for a majority of the playoffs last year for Toronto too.

Man I think Westbrook would love to have McCollum instead of Oladipo as a teammate in this series. That man neeeds some help. This could cost him the MVP if Harden wins and outplays him.
I know MVP isn't the playoffs but you're kiddying yourself if you think this won't impact votes.

Seeing Memphis absolutely just fall apart and offer no competition against San Antonio so far makes me wish Nurkic had been healthy and we had caught them. I think we could win against the Spurs with Jusuf.

The Warriors have listed Kevin Durant (left calf strain) and Shaun Livingston (right finger sprain/hand bruise) as questionable for Game 2.

The only thing worse than how badly the Blazers are getting whomped is that OKC/HOU is a thing. I never though I'd be rooting for the notSonics, but such is my distaste for the Rockets. And yet, am I really mad if the Clay Bennetts go down...?

As bad as last game was at least we aren't the Celtics or the Raptors right now, right? Also CJ was really sweet in his article.

Paul George finally got his last shot he wanted to desperately....... and it air-balled hard right.
Least clutch star in the league. The Ringer podcast said he was like 0 for 16 or something crazy like that in those situations.

Yeah, there's far bigger flops happening this playoffs than Portland. Also the Pacers just got swept.

Wow, Quick taking shots at Canzano. I love it. I refuse to read anything Canzano writes
