This doesn't surprise me. I didn't get my merit increase this year and have to furlough 80 hours on top of that. My wife had to take a pay cut at her job, as well as everyone else so they wouldn't have to cut any positions. Total, we're out just over $11,000 and that doesn't include additional salary I would make on overtime with a higher wage. We're doing our part, but at least we still have jobs. My step daughter waited 3 months to get her first unemployment check. I don't know how many thousands of calls (yes, literally thousands) she made to unemployment and never spoke with anyone except for one time when the person went to transfer her after waiting on hold for 7 hours and they disconnected her instead. I'm fully expecting to have to furlough additional hours this winter when COVID takes over again and am not planning on my raise next year either. Okay, I'm done whining now. Thank you for listening!

This is good that Blazers are taking measures to preserve the strength of their franchise. It doesn't mean Blazers management are cold hearted bastards. It means they are trying to be fiscally responsible in order to provide security to as many people dependant on the business side of the Blazers as possible. I suppose if Blazers were a government they would be irresponsible until the team financially collapsed. Somehow it would be more compassionate if 270 people lost their jobs than it is to layoff 40 people and save 230 jobs.

lol, his supertalent is the timing of his bink-bink--bink-binks. He hits them right on. That can't be easy to get that in 1 take. Maybe, it's just impressive to me because I have no rhythm. His last line is good too. PG says it was a bad shot, but it looked good to me.

That's a big IF. The Blazers path to playoffs is more difficult than beating Lakers in a playoff series. Somehow, the 10th place Pelicans have a cakewalk into the playoffs.

Unsure where to post this, but so far Enes Kanter has been the only active NBA player with the guts to come out against Stephen Jacksons's insane support of the Desean Jackson Hitler quote (Other active NBA players liked the quote as well). The man is a muslim as well, making his antisemetic stance all the more powerful. I want players like that on my team and would welcome him back with open arms. I am unsure if our guys are even aware of this, but nonetheless disappointed in their lack of refutation.

How come the Blazers didn't sign a second player to go to Orlando? It couldn't hurt anything.

The window closed, but I thought there is still a way to replace injured players. I need to look it up. If they can replace injured players, what's the difference between options to add players in the window and after the window?

I'm pretty disappointed there hasn't really been any video of practices available. I'd love to see just a little something to get me excited for the upcoming tournament. Even Courtside lady night was recorded before the teams even went to Orlando. What good does it do to hear about what the team is doing heading to Orlando when they've been there for 5 days already? Bah!

Will the scrimmage games be televised? I have yet to find them on my cable guide.

I just watched the most recent Lillard interview. He was wearing a shirt with a social justice message, EQUALITY.

Too bad that didn't spark any discussion. I would have asked if all NBA guards should be paid the same. Should woman and men players get the same pay? Does he believe in equal opportunity or outcome? Was his opportunity equal to other youth players across the country that were recruited into big prestigious schools? And, did his starting place determine his finish?

I would like to ask him, what are the biggest problems holding the black community from equality? Is it police brutality when arresting black men who decide to resist arrest? Or, is it unequal education from a one size fits all educational system that fails the black community and other poor children? Or, maybe it's the welfare system that breaks up families, encourages out of wedlock child birth, and generally rewards fatherless children.

It's good news that Chuck and Shaq believe the Blazers have a good team. I question what they know about the scheduling. They don't seem to realize how difficult the schedule is for Blazers and how easy it is for Pelicans. It's interesting they acknowledge the importance of the path (home games vs road games), but no mention of quality of opponents. I think they are just assuming that the scheduling is equal and they haven't really looked.

If Nurkic, Whiteside, and Collins can all hit 3s at 37%+ I think this team will be very strong. LA has the size to guard them, but I don't think LA can really guard Lillard or CJ.

Not good that New Orleans is beating Utah so far.

The bad news is Jazz are the 2nd most difficult opponent Pelicans play. If Pelicans win, they could easily go 7-1. Blazers have to be awesome to win 5 games.

Jazz did their job they beat the Pelicans. Pelicans choked somewhat down the stretch they had a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter.
