I think this formula provides a compelling and concise explanation of the present situation of the Blazers. They simply lack the power (capacities individually and collectively) to carry the load of an improved defense and maintaining at least last season's offense. Great teams generally can carry such a load, due to players with greater power and thus far greater margin to change and improve.
