Portland has been starting Harkless over Turner the last few games, I'd imagine they're sticking with that.

forget for a bit whether Portland has a cap on their near future prospects....

has there ever been as hopeless a situation as the Kings over the last dozen years or so?

Kings 1st round picks since picking Cousins in 2010:

2011: #11 - Jimmer Fredette: Bought out/waived after his sophomore season.
2012: #4 - Thomas Robinson: Traded in rookie season in a 6 player deal that brought back nothing but veterans in Patrick Patterson, Cole Aldrich, and Toney Douglas.
2013: #7 - Ben McLemore: Kept for entirety of his mediocre rookie contract and allowed to sign elsewhere as a FA for no compensation.
2014: #8 - Nik Stauskas: Traded after rookie season in idiotic salary dump move, paid a 1st round pick on top of him to do so.
2015: #6 - Willie Cauley-Stein: Kept him.... so far.
2016: #13 - Georgios Papagiannis: Waived in sophomore season.

Has any team ever pissed away so many lottery picks over this long of a period?

Zach looks out of shape. He looks a little big in the middle.

The problem with Harkless is not if he can be a positive force on the floor but if he can do it consistently. He will go through stretches where he looks like an above average 3 and d player followed immediately by a similar stretch where he is just invisible in games

Zach is fat but his brain is working fine. He's playing smart basketball.

Nah, Charlotte has been better. Drafted Kemba in 2011. MKG in 2012 doesn't look great at #2, but he's productive and was considered widely a Top 4 pick that year. They bombed the 2013, 2014 and 2015 drafts with Zeller, Vonleh and Kaminsky.

They've not been great, but they've gotten some rotational guys and was near-star level guy. That's a whole hell of a lot more than the Kings can say who hasn't even picked NBA level rotational talent in over half a decade.

Sooooo many of Collin's problems are tied up in his physical readiness for the NBA. Just needs more strength, and to not rush his jumpshots.

The Kings set good screens. I haven't watched Jackson or Fox this year...not terrible so far.

Edit: Forgot to mention...that was a terrible goaltend call on Nurkic. If that isn't a clean block, I don't know what is...
