Feels like a trap game

Utah has been playing good ball the last 10 games or so, Blazers are really going to need to bring it tonight. I suspect that Jae Crowder will look more like the old version fitting into the Utah defensive Scheme.

I'm going to be optimistic and say Blazers by 9. I don't think Dame lets the team take their eye off the prize from here out.

Utah is a good team - don't let their record fool you. They have the 9th highest SRS in the league. Portland will have to work hard to get this win.

Utah is on an 8 game win streak.

Damian/CJ need to focus on team ball tonight. None of this "all of our shots come from behind the free throw line" crap... the Jazz are NOT the team to be pulling that on.

I worry about matching up with Favors strength. I wonder if it wouldn't be better to put Nurkic on Favors and Aminu on Gobert. Both players are tough matchups for Aminu but Favors has more polished low-post offense.

Utah in Utah playing good basketball hasn't ever been kind to Portland. With the way Utah has been playing I give the Blazers a 20% chance of winning...

IMO, the Gobert/Nurkic matchup is key tonight. Nurkic has to draw Gobert out of the paint, which is tricky because Nurkic isn't a very good shooter past a few feet. Obviously, getting the stifle tower in foul trouble would be ideal. Luckily, Nurkic seems to relish these matchups against centers that are perceived to be better than him.

The Mitchell/CJ duel will be interesting tonight too.

Whoops, that's my bad. I saw the 6:00 start time and assumed it was in Utah. I'll fix it

This game should be pretty tough Utah has been playing much better lately. With Rubio down though that will make thing a bit easier on the Blazers.

**** Utah is a tough out even when they have a weaker team overall back in the day. Though part of that might have come with Jerry Sloan being the HC of Utah for so long.

Did we get those points for that goaltend against CJ?

There was not an inbounds pass, so I doubt we got those points.

Damian is clearly in All-star snub mode, he is just playing very well lately.

Rubio out...it is amazing how many time the Blazers have played a team who is missing one of their best players. Portland should play Megabucks

going by participation here, people seem to be fairly apathetic about the current Blazer team

Jazz run zero offense through Favors. He could be a lot better player in a different system.
