LA has 13 of the 35 points. LA left Portland for 1 good year. Now he's on a team that is going to lose untill they pull off a draft miracle.

How long can LA, Mills, Gay, and 100-yr old Gasol hang with the Warriors?

It's starting to look like the Spurs might actually get rid of kawhi. Very surprising how that drama has gone

I hope they dump him on the Blazers. We can handle Spurs rejects. Stotts can show Pops how to win with Kawhi.

Nice news for Moe, maybe don't need to rush him back for game 2, or if he dos play only like 15-20 mins and a big boost the next game. Still great news. He looks like he is moving well.

A thing to look for, if guys are wide open off Dame and CJ traps where Nurk has Jrue or Mirotic between him and the rim. He might want to shoot more, I know it is good to pass aswell, but Aminu and turner weren't making that open shot in the corner.

It isn't the bad play to make that pass, but not all of the time, sometimes you gotta mix it up, Jrue and Mirotic aren't stopping you in the paint.

http://www.nbcsports.com/northwest/portland-trail-blazers/game-2-adjustment-blazers-nurkic-looking-attack

I do. I do,’’ Nurkic said. “But I like to pass, too, so … like I said, it’s a decision I have to make. Sometime good, sometimes bad, and you learn from it.’’

“I feel all decisions I take were good decisions,’’ Nurkic said. “An open shot is what we want. I feel confident in those guys out there waiting for the shot and I can’t ask for better shots. We had wide open shots and we don’t make them. If we make half of them we would be in good shape.’’

Interested in seeing him dominate that exploit like he did that previous game at New Orleans.

Man i can't wait for this game, if NOs gives us that many quality looks again no way Dame and CJ shoot that poorly. Plus Nurk being more aggressive. All 3 of our top players had terrible 1st halfs and overall a bad game.

The emphasis for the Blazers has to be to get more better shots. 40% of Blazers shots were 3pt attempts and that's too many. We need player movement to the basket other than Lillard driving with the ball.

Edit: We will lose if our plan is to make the shots we missed the last game.

I think that's probably a good forecast

lots of talk about how poorly Dame & CJ shot, but they did shoot 8-19 from three's...42%. The 'problem' was that the rest of the team shot 4-20, and the Blazers launched 39 three's when their season average is 28. If you're missing a lot of one type of shot, you probably need to work harder for other types of shots

sure, the Blazers may be likely to shoot better in game 2, but people thinking that will just about guarantee a win are off track. Each game is different...there aren't many carry-overs. Portland could shoot better, but so could the Pelicans; it's not like they were on fire....the Pelicans shot 47.7% on FG's and 33% on three's when their season averages were 48.3% and 36.2%

Blazers could shoot much better but commit 20 turnovers instead of 12 (we've seen that many times) and only grab 7 offensive rebounds instead of the 15 they collected Saturday. Lots of variables besides just hitting open shots

for instance, Blazers beat the Pels in turnovers, 12 vs 14; in fast break points 29-17; and in offensive rebounds 15-7. None of those differentials are certain to remain just because Portland shoots better

Playoff games are all about adjustments from game to game. To win, Portland will need some points from
their third and fourth options which means Nurk and Aminu will need to produce and others will have to
contribute. The Pelicans like many teams shaded a big in their case Anthony Davis over to Dame with
Jrue Holiday, trusting Rajon Rondo could handle CJ 1-1. If we had that wing shooter most of us know this
teams need, we could make them pay for imagine if we had a Wesley Matthews win a ton of open looks.

Look for the team to pressure Mo Harkless to play in games 3-4.
