It will never be paid off but he will be paying a little bit each pay check for the rest of his life which I am totally fine with.

For 10 years of his life unless he violates probation. After 10 years it appears the rest will just be dropped. Completely reasonable, will leave a lasting impression while not ruining his whole life.

I guess I am not that forgiving. If his actions ended up ruining his life then he is the only one to blame for that.

He should have to pay the rest of his life in exchange for avoiding prison time.

About as close to a 10 year prison sentence as one can get without actually going to prison. Totally reasonable.

Well keep in mind if he comes into any major money in the next 10 years that likely goes to the payment. This kid isn't even an adult by the law yet, so this is actually pretty harsh punishment. Obviously he's not some 10 year old kid, but 15 is not an age where the brain is fully developed I was a pretty foolish kid at 15.

I imagine it being like college loan repayments for 10 years. Honestly, it is pretty light. Kid got off easy, but he is a kid, so I'm 100% fine with this punishment.

I wonder if the payments are gonna require him to pay all of his income to the government for a decade or if it's reduced to something manageable.

I think if it's realistic it's a good verdict but if the kid is forced to pay 50,000 a month and doesn't have money to pay for the bill yet alone for food it seems excessive

At least he's not getting pounded in the cornhole in an adult prison. He got off easy. He should have to play for whatever his prison sentence could have been x10.
