I actually think against certain teams Kanter will do just fine. His weakness is rim protection and guarding the PnR. I don't really see that being a huge strength for CHI tonight, or against most teams without an athletic rolling C.

As a semi-related aside...
Right now, Blazers are matched up with Utah at 3 vs 6. As a sometime starter vs. Gobert, Kanter has shown well (8 game sample size, with 5W and 3L). And of course, if Meyers is hitting from the 3pt line I can't think of a better matchup than Gobert who wants to stay in the paint.

Of course, Gobert has gotten better and better as the lob target in the short PnR. The Blazers won't have any defense against that...

Hood being aggressive at both ends.
Mo being good/scrapping/active/engaged Mo.
Curry playing a heady game.
The Turtle playing free and in motion.

It's not about stepping outside of their lane to do what they're not good at. It's about the effort and hustle plays and deciding to win, anyway. I don't want to see Lillard play 36 or more minutes.
