Yep, if this was a shot in the NBA Finals that won the series (I don't care if Blazers were up 3-0, 3-1, 3-2 etc...) it would probably be the greatest shot in the history of the NBA especially with how many doubters Lillard had before that point. ****, after his dedication to the city it would etch him as the greatest Blazer over night without question if the game was similar 50 points and insane game winning shot.

There is no logical reason for Lillard to have fewer doubters because he made a 37 foot shot. Even if you don't agree with PG that it was a bad shot, you can't seriously change your mind about Lillard because he made a 37 foot shot. MJ would say I didn't take 37 foot shots because I didn't need to.

We didn't need to win this game either, you act like if the Blazers lose that game OKC wins the series. Also MJ didn't take 37 footers because he wasn't that great of a shooter from anywhere near the 3 point line or beyond. He did get slightly better at is as the years went on but he rarely if ever took like 5+ 3 pointers in a game. MJ was the greatest to play the game, but that was one area he was never considered great at though in his time the 3 point shot was nowhere near as important as it is now.

I cant remember how to post a url so I hope this works. It has just a little language in it so dont play it in front of the kids or at work. It's pretty funny though.

You missed the point. MJ was a random example. Great players are great because they create easy shots. A made 37 foot shot is not likely an example of a shot that makes a player great.
