That was to be expected. Especially after trading for Whiteside.

Interesting bit with Enes' complaint about Portland only "giving him 6 minutes to decide"...
Enes will forever live in Blazers lore, but he also - according to Quick - is/was a bit of a drama queen and Dame is seemingly backing that up. While he was an easy player to fall in love with for half a season and some playoffs, I think fans and the team may have gotten sick of him watching him for a full season.

Enes is from the Middle East and supports much of his culture as we saw during the playoffs. As one who worked two years in a Middle East/Central Asian country (Afghanistan in the late 1960s), it is not surprising that he believed bargaining should be not rushed. I spent over 45 minutes in Kabul bargaining for a taxi ride. He probably wanted NO to offer some tea during the session.

I think that other guy that was waiting wasn't Hood, i think that it was Whiteside and Oshley wanted to have both of them , to get Whiteside via trade and then trick Kanter into signing vet min because we stil need big on pf position.

I'll be forever grateful for his toughness and grit after Nurk went down. He'll be a Blazer fan favorite for life.

Well I am pretty sure that Kanter had no idea that his deal was expiring and his run was a trial run for both parties and that he had months prior to Portland's offer to think over the pros and cons of remaining here and have his agent gauge league interest for a better contract and/or situation. So in that respect, I completely understand why he felt pressured.
