Blazers should see if they can get Kuzma

Kuzma would be a nice piece for the Blazers because he can play the 3 and 4 and he’s pretty versatile.

Meh. If he's super cheap or something, sure, he'd be an okay piece and fit, but nothing special. Lakers would want a better win-now piece for him, and we don't really have that to offer anyways. Throw out a protected late first and see if they bite, but doubtful they'd move him for that unless he's a malcontent, in which case...

Agreed. I just don't think we have anything that they'd be interested in that makes sense for both parties. Bazemore is trash. Whiteside isn't necessary for them and they couldn't match his salary anyways. CJ is too good to give up in a swap like this and the Lakers don't have much outside of Kuzma to help close the gap. Tolliver/Hezonja are win never pieces. I'm higher on Collins than I am on Kuzma. Simons as well. Nassir Little doesn't help LA at all.

I really can't see anything that the teams would agree on.

Kuzma is not a world beater. We already have good players. We need rebounding, inside scoring, and playmaking. Kuzma solves none of our problems.

Edit: You know what, Nurkic solves all three of our problems. I didn't do this on purpose, but after I reread my post it occurred to me.

Nurkic is not the greatest playmaker but he's a big that makes plays out of the high post that Lillard can play off of.

LeBron probably wants Kuzma off the team ASAP and I think he’s welcome Melo.

Can't trade Melo though.

Melo has a low post game, is a better shooter, can create his own shot from anywhere, and is an awesome passer. Why would we trade him for Kuzma?

Lakers are looking for a playmaker which leaves out Portland unless they send CJ back in return

Blazers need literally everything, including talent upgrades. This fulfills problems for sure, maybe not the particular ones listed but in a perfect world where we were gifted such talent, it def fits. We have two good players, two others who haven’t played much this year or proven much generally speaking and a slew of garbage. Our 3rd best offensive player is playing the hardest he ever has just to stay in the league, not exactly a world beater roster we’re working with.
