Damian Lillard demands a trade (misleading title, untrue)

Post#1 » by Sinobas » Thu Jan 9, 2020 4:59 am

Do you think it will get to this point if the Blazers don't get much better within the next couple of years?

We're going to lose Whiteside and gain Nurk...which is only a slight upgrade. Will the return of Hood/Collins make that remarkable of a difference?

Changed the title - TSE.

All of us know all about the financial realities for Dame's agent has to know whenever a team commits
to a max extension, the team has to be very careful who else on the team gets paid. It's the reason
why most of us think CJ will eventually get traded for keeping him likely means Nurk in two seasons
is not going to get paid unless the owner truly does not care about paying for LT. I'm less concerned
about Zach for he still has to demonstrate on the court, he deserves to get paid .

Come on Sinobas...you're better than this purposely misleading, clickbait thread title.

I don't do this very often but between the other similar thread and the incredibly misleading title, boarding on trolling, I am looking this abomination of an unnecessary post.

If you want to discuss Damian Lillards possible frustration and what it means for his future here, go to the other post.

I will leave this quote as a final note, and really you should read the whole thing here, because if you haven't, you don't know Dame and shouldn't be talking about him.

Portland.

My city.

My people.

I’m saying, you think you know how deep this goes, but you have no idea. When I say that I will never, ever switch up on the city of Portland, I mean what I say. When I say that I will never, ever switch up on this organization, I mean what I say.

They might switch up on me. That’s business. That’s basketball. But I will never switch up on the city. I don’t want it easy. I’m drawn to the struggle. When I came here, we hadn’t won a playoff series since 2000. You had so many injuries to franchise guys like Brandon Roy and Greg Oden over the years, and it’s so tough to come back from that. Even going way back, you had All-Stars like Clyde Drexler and Bill Walton who didn’t choose to end their careers as a Blazer.

Well, I’m going to be that. I’m going to carry that. I’m going to bring a ring to this city or go down swinging.
