We are struggling to cover the floor defensively with Whiteside. We don't have a lot of range with our size without Collins or even Tolliver. We will see what Stotts tries.

Edit: I forget about Skal too. He would be nice to have right now.

You can already tell how much better Ariza is as a player than Bazemore. Ariza is a legit rotation level player, Bazemore doesn't belong in the league.

Yes, but they wish mostly to have freestyle based upon reads and reactions. Carlisle somewhere in the couple of years prior to their championship wanted to get away from set plays. He hired Stotts to implement that mode.

Whiteside has only 3 rebounds. Mavs missed 24 shots and Blazers have only 15 defensive rebounds. Mavs have 9 offensive rebounds.

Games like these make me think getting under the tax, trading Whiteside, and getting a guy that could help next year (without giving up 1st round pick) is the way to go. Not tank, but it may make the Blazers worse for the time being.
