It feels crazy that there are only 30 more games after this one, this season has gone by very quick.

Lillard / Simons
McCollum / Trent Jr
Ariza / Hezonja / Hoard
Melo / Gabriel
Whiteside / Swanigan / Brown
Out starters need to play 40+ minutes tonight!!! That bench is putrid. Am I missing anyone? I don't know if Hoard and Brown are even with the team or if they are in the G-League. Does it really matter? (sigh)
Simons has been the biggest disappointment this season. All this hype before the season began and he has laid an egg, a big egg!

The hype was there that hes the most physically gifted player Olshey has drafted. However, if you listened to guys like Stotts, Dame, and even Casey Holdahl, the general consensus was that he looks good in practice and training camp, but hes still got a ways to go. Kids only 20. It's on the fans (and Olshey yo an extent for building that hype) for expecting too much too soon

Yea, Simons really should have been more in the CJ in 2014-15 role this year. He was thrust into a position he was totally unprepared to handle.

What about the emergency 4th quarter GLB and/or the victory GLB?

We got healthier today. We managed to get 1 player off the injured list.

Simon's will be just fine. He's getting tons of experience this year, but struggles are mostly due to a lack of physical strength. He gets pushed around quite easily now, but that will all change soon. Wait til you see the difference a summer can make, when he gets on a "program", and bulks up. I'll bet the differences will be similar to that of Collins.
Also, The Refs. He should get more love from them soon, as he moves into his 3rd year of service. We all know rookie and sophomore players get screwed pretty hard on the calls.

I haven't been disappointed in Simons at all. He has displayed a broad range of skills. We saw skills this year he didn't show last year. I suppose if you are waiting for stats to confirm his skills, you might be disappointed you are still waiting. I'm confident he is a multi-skilled NBA combo guard. That is all I hoped for.

I have to admit.... I didn't think Trent was an NBA player. But he's finally shooting the ball well. If Trent can be a knockdown shooter, he tries hard enough on defense to be a rotation player. He's like Crabbe, but stronger, and with better handles. I'm very impressed with the strides he's taken this season.
I'll be sad next season when he looks even better and the Blazers let him walk for nothing at the end of the year.

This team needs to learn how to play defense, they do the wrong thing 9 times out of 10.

Why didn't other teams want C. Anthony? Maybe because he is a negative on offense and a bigger negative on defense. When will the plug be pulled?

Yea, he was fun for a bit. And I honestly believe that he was helpful for about a month. He's a much better option than Hezonja and Tolliver at the 4. But he's just not offering much anymore. His offense has completely dried up, and his defense is non-existent. Do we even have any other options though? I guess we could throw Jaylen Hoard out there at the 4. But it's hard to pull the plug without another plug to replace it.

Hezonja is a great example of what happens when you find a player who won't accept his limitations and seemingly doesn't work to become a player within those constraints.
Dribbling the ball up the court, not passing... and taking a bad mid-range shot is completely unacceptable.
