I expect full well that this veteran Blazer team knows the ramifications of tonight's game. I would expect PO type intensity.
I'm really excited to watch Morant play. I think he's going to be one of the best of the new crop of PGs coming into the league.

I have only watched Morant in a couple games. He is a franchise player.

Melo is just abysmal.... THIS type of **** is EXACTLY why he was out of the league. 1-10 in the first quarter is unacceptable.

A perennially inefficient player has been made more so with age. His few worthwhile possession are not really worth all his failed ones (on both offense and defense). End the farewell tour. (last time I said such, he finished up with a good game). O my God, Anthony just made a direct pass to an opponent. Does he get an assist for that?

I agree. I do think he has the ability to be a contributing player on an NBA roster.... but his mindset has gotten progressively worse as the season has worn on.

This roster is just utterly unacceptable. This team needs to either actively tank, or get something better than Swanigan at the backup 5. He's just completely awful. This team just has so many awful players right now. Simons/Melo/Swanigan... these guys should be 5-8mpg players right now.... They're getting huge run. The fact that a small move wasn't made for something better behond Whiteside is just utterly unacceptable.

Whiteside is just...... i mean wtf is he even doing out there. He stinks man.... There's absolutely no way they should bring him back. That play where he just left Morant open to take the shot, and then didn't even attempt to rebound the ball.

This team has zero playable big men and second unit players, mostly cause Olshey kept drafting useless bust after useless bust over the last years.
That's the problem.

He's literally on a sabotage mission.

I wonder if the players and coaches are demoralized by the unwillingness of ownership and front office to reinforce.

Swanigan is the only true bust. Simons is a project who still has a high ceiling. That's plenty at pick #24. Zach was a project who came on at the end of last season and looked good to start this year. Trent has been fantastic given his draft slot. Little is a project who's shown real potential. I think this roster sucks as well, but your reasoning is way off base IMO.

At 3 minutes left--Can anyone move slower to get a given dunk that Whiteside just did.

Maybe. I wouldn't doubt it. I've stated for a while though, that it's completely unacceptable that our bigman rotation looks as bad as it does right now. If the Blazers were actively tanking, I'd be fine with it... but it's ridiculous to try and win games while giving Swanigan minutes.

That's great that Olshey's good at spotting projects with great potential. Too bad he's not that bright at spotting NBA caliber players out there..
