Game(ish) thread. No Lillard today.

Lets hope Ant shows up and justifies some of that early season hype. I also want to see more of Adams, maybe he can provide backup PG if Ant cannot.

I would love to see the full roster healthy and play together, even for just one game. Wont happen with Ariza and Hood out, but I think they could be very competitive. Next year?

Is Little playing tonight?

Yeah hopefully Lillard is okay.

So far the Nurkic Whiteside duo looks decent. Toronto has a big lineup too with Gasol and Ibaka. Whiteside is hitting his catch and shoot jumpers.

Toronto is hitting a lot of 3s. Some contested, some not at all. Might be a result of Whiteside and Nurkic out there together. Also to me, Carmelo doesn't look like he has much of a rhythm yet in either scrimmage game.

Collins getting 0 respect from the refs on that one.

Edit: Wow they overturned the call.

Nurk looking great in his 2nd game back.

He's looking like prime Marc Gasol out there. 10 points, 8 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks is a great half. Diving for loose balls and hitting a 3 is such a fantastic development!

Nurk all fired up. Gotta love it. I'm liking the variety the Blazers have up front for a change. They can go with any combination of Nurkic, Collins, Whiteside, or Melo.

I also love how much energy the bench is showing watching, really getting this team fired up and ready to turn some heads over the eight game stretch. Having that bench act like a cheering fanbase is going to pay dividends when neither team actually has fans in the stands.

Blazers treating this game like an actual game that matters and we aren't even back in the games that matter mode yet.

I think the Nurkic Whiteside duo has looked good. Nurkic has really hustled and moved around on defense.

It's interesting that Lillard is out, and Portland still looks like they are doing fine with firepower. Seems like it usually takes a lot more effort from CJ and others to be in a game without Lillard.

They look pretty good as a duo, will look better once they can communicate better and understand where the other will be. I think I prefer Collins+Nurk more though I think that duo is very good and will function very well together.

It will be interesting to see how it looks against smaller teams, and with Lillard back.

With Simons, and Hezonja probably the weak links, maybe Melo at times, it would be really interesting to see this team with Hood and Ariza.

Melo showed some good defense in this game nice to see from him, he was struggling with his shot on the other end. He single handily turned back Ibaka multiple times and forced him into a few tough shots.

I swear it feels like everytime the ball goes to the floor the Raptors get to it first, Blazers struggling to get rebounds after misses.

nurk is 1/5 on 3-pointers and i hope he keeps shooting them regularly, we need him to develop that 3-pointer

he looks really good, but i expected it, unlike many who had doubts hell be as good as before

hes on his way to becoming an all-star

Hope Stotts shortens the rotation. I'm tired of seeing Simon's.
