I always look forward to Den/Por games for the Nurkic and Jokic matchup. Nurkic seems like he gets UP to go against his former teammate.
Those Denver guards are such a handful though...Lillard/CJ/Trent will be expending a lot of energy on defense...although the converse will definitely be true as well.
I think more than any other so far, this is a STATEMENT game for the Blazers—win, and it shows that now that you’re healthy you belong with the upper echelon teams. Lose, and it shows you’re capable of winning a game or two, but not at the next level.
I sure do wish the Blazers had Ariza and pre-injury Hood available to play...

Word so far is no Harris, no Barton, no Millsap and Murray is questionable with his hamstring (He's yet to play).
Porter JR has been playing very well and our perimeter defense is.. yes.. but, we need to apply pressure tonight. We cannot be relaxed.

Is Denver the deepest team this season?they seem to have multiple players at every position. Their bigs are Jokic, Plumlee, Milsap, Grant, Vonleh, and Bol Bol. Their backcourt and wings are Murray, Harris, Barton, Craig, Porter Jr, and Daniels. Dang!!!

if we had a healthy Hood and Ariza...
Dame/(Adams)
McCollum/Trent/Simons
Hood/Ariza/Little/Hezonja/(Hoard)
Collins/Anthony/Gabriel/Swanigan
Nurk/Whiteside
...but we don't.

Nuggets are down a few players, but have the best player on the court. It's going to be a tough win to get.

Portland looks pretty casual so far, and Nuggets have taken advantage of that.
Collins and Nurkic have missed a few wide open 3s

I'm sure Portland is taking this game seriously it's do or die time for Portland, meanwhile Denver wants to win but they don't need the win desperately.

If Gary keeps up this level of play and and continues to expand his game he might end up getting a max offer. His game is growing game by game, incredible. I can only imagine how good he would become as the key guy on a team where he is put into a do or die situation like Lillard.

Disappointed to see these last several possessions by CJ. Some difficult shots with Gary on fire but not getting any touches.

Yeah that he's playing so well is awesome, and also that he's been getting better makes it exciting to see where it goes. His attitude is interesting too, he seems more into the game than most which is probably a good sign for him.
