Since no competing local broadcast I would guess not

Bummer to not have Collins or Ariza for this series. Plus, who knows how well CJ will hold out. Certainly doesn’t help that playoff Rondo will be back in the mix.
The Blazers have no answer for the Lakers’ length, plus major positional advantages with Lebron and lebrow.
Blazers might win a game...maybe 2 if they’re lucky, but that’s about all we can reasonably hope for, IMO—not including seeing James and Melo face off and Lillard trying to will the team to victory.
I hate the *&@#% Lakers.

I need an injury report! Last I heard his ankle was "swollen". Anything official because not having Collins against the Lakers WILL hurt. This all seems a bit strange to me.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but this game one we could use Biggie--hard screens and even harder fouls. Actually he did decently during the Kobe Memorial game on Jan 31.

Here’s to hoping Swanigan is doing well. He seems to have gone through a mental health episode. I know he’s deep into BLM...hopefully he’s finding fulfillment and happiness in whatever he applies himself.

Exactly what is a swollen ankle? Something different from a sprain? I have not heard the term except in reference to HRC.

I don't think it matters that much if Collins is in there or not. Even with him we can't play defense as a team. This series will depend on Dame being able to put up 45+ in at least four games I'm afraid.

Collins would be the best player to guard Davis for probably 15-20 minutes before fouling out. He will destroy Whiteside and probably draw favorable fouls against Nurkic. Melo will probably end up guarding him which leaves little hope against LeBron. I hope Gabriel is up for the challenge tonight.

Yeah, we're not making it out of the first round. Might have been able to take them at the beginning of the bubble, but the Blazers have gone 100% for 9 straight games, while the Lakers pretty much had the #1 seed locked up and could rest.
Or maybe if we had a healthy McCollu, Hood, and Collins plus Ariza (but not Rondo and Bradley for L.A.). Lots of bodies to throw at James and AD. No above average defenders to throw at Dame.
Hopefully we play hard, nobody gets injured, and the series is at least fun to watch.

I think it is a top of the foot problem. Overuse is the general cause of such. I assume that playing competitive basketball for two weeks every other day after a prolonged sitting out may just be overuse.

"Bubble Collins" wasn't playing very well anyway.

No, he wasnt. But he had moments and too many fans are throwing him in the dumpster because of a mediocre-to-poor 8 game stretch. I am becoming more tepid on him, but the sample size is far too small to write him off. Do we forget how well he was last playoffs? Because he was showing tremendous defensive talent and great motor / toughness last run. Not all players bounce back from injury like our beast.
