After their performance last game, Kings are going to want a better effort this game.

I tried to find out but it looks like they aren't broadcasting preseason games.

Any idea what's up with Little? Is he the player who tested positive? Ant and Little s/b playing 24 plus minutes a game in preseason... No way should CJ2 be getting 29.

CJ2 will lose all those minutes to Hood once games starting having more meaning.

Little is almost certainly the positive covid case at this point. Hope he is feeling better, but even once healthy I don't see him getting many minutes unless he shows a huge jump from year 1.

I really hope to see me some Hood and Nurkic tonight. Hopefully lots of guys getting around 20ish minutes. I don't need to see the rookie at all honestly, and I don't see the point of him being out there early in the game. Use those minutes for guys that are actually going to contribute. 4th quarter, fine, then bring in the scrubs, but not before the 4th.

I love how last game, Stotts really had most players on shorter stints, playing fast and aggressive on both ends of the floor. Hopefully, Stotts will experiment more with 6-8 minute burts from all players. Also noticeable, was seeing Dame and CJ not on the floor together as much, but having one of them almost always playing PG.

Simons looked fine as well, being that secondary ball handler when needed, taking pressure off CJ at times. He played well defensively, as far as I could see, and made some nice shots too. He might get a handful of minutes each night, but that will all depend on whether we bury teams early or not.

3 more hours 'til tip... Can't wait.

hopefully Simons hamstring issue was very minor, I really want to see if Giles can have a similar game

Second game in a row that Giles looks like he could be the best player on the court at any given point. Loving it!

Man did I miss Portland Trailblazer basketball!

I am probably seen as a curmudgeon since I dont see us as having any chance of really being a contender, and I stand by that, but in the meantime this sure looks like a fun team to root for.

FWIW, since the signing of DJJ I have been of mind that the only way this team can jump to contender status is improvement from our top 3, or DJJ having a late development blossom and turning into a sort of Gerald Wallace type. I can see that having a non-zero chance of happening and I am excited for this kid.

I did not think we would see so much of CJ2 this early. Obviously, his game needs work. I like how fearless he is. He acts like he belongs on an NBA court.

Yeah, he certainly fits in Olshey's stable of second round picks who can do a little bit of a lot of things in Layman, Connaughton, Barton, Crabbe and Trent. Interesting how much Stotts put him in kind of a PG role this game, maybe not necessarily his strength but doing what the coach needs you to do is a good way to see the court. Compared to those other guys however his shot is brutal and will probably limit him from being a good role player at least until that is fixed.

Just wondering if the Kanter trade was a good thing at this point. Loving Giles so far. Trent Jr needs to stick with shooting and stop all of this other stuff he seems to have issues with. Hood looked rusty. Hopefully he finds his shoot sooner rather than later.

Can the league fine Walton for taking his mask off so darn much.
