I don't get the Carmelo hate. He was a huge reason the Blazers made the playoffs last year. But I do agree he has a much longer leash than he should. He's was killing our second unit offense and taking minutes from guys who IMO have more to offer. I just want to give this team its best chance to win and Carmelo was significantly subtracting from that

I think Melo could eventually play himself out of the lineup, it's not like we are paying him $10+ million a season and have to justify that salary. He's not the all-star level player he once was, and everyone knows that.

If Melo continues to put up stinkers we have depth behind him now, last year it was Melo vs. Hezonja, not really much of a contest there Melo is far superior to Hezonja. Now it's Melo vs. Giles and more minutes for DJ Jr. or Covington etc...

yeah and we still beat the Lakers with them shooting 3's badly, I think they will shoot better and with their D that's a nice positive IMO

... nice to have athleticism for a change. Although he struggled offensively, that’s 2 games in a row where I feel DJJs defense and energy changed the game. Roco is an elite role player, especially once that deep ball starts falling. Not sure there is minutes for Carmelo when Zach comes back, not sure how much he will buy into limited minutes
