In that case, bring in Isaiah Thomas as this year's Carmelo Anthony. Team needs more black holes on offense.

Cousins skillset would be far more useful.

Right. Until Nurkić/Collins gets back and we're still playing Simons heavy minutes.

Why did Rockets guarantee Cousins salary right before waiving him?

Are Rockets building a basketball team or a linebacker lineup for an NFL football team?

I mean if he comes in on the minimum it's a low risk move, if he doesn't work out we just waive him. With only one true C on the roster not injured, having Cousins would be at least decent.

I dont like the fit. Once Nurkic is back and Cousins is 3rd string, he is going to whine.

How come he hasn't surfaced somewhere yet?

Because at this point his lateral movement on defense is similar to an alligator. IE, nonexistent.

I still think someone would snap him up to either ride the pine as an extra big or play him 10-15 minutes as a backup big.

Cousins might already have a deal. Proration might be an issue if the team is barely under the tax. And, a team over the tax might want to limit their tax bill.

Per Quick, the Blazers have no interest in Cousins.
