What about Aminu? He would be a nice addition for our post all-star and playoffs run if he's finally healthy again. He checks all the boxes, if healthy. All except he's a skinny butt when we could use a fat butt, nobody is perfect.

I will never go along with bring Aminu back. That guy single-handedly drove me nuts.

Scratch the whole suggestion. Aminu has a $10M player option next year I thought was a team option. Noway is Aminu worth that guarantee.

Pass on Aminu.

We just need to get CJ and (good) Nurk back

I would swap Hood for Aminu in a second if he was a FA or had a TO this summer. As it stands, he will take his PO and it will make our financials harder should GTJ get a Crabbe offer. So, just not worth it.

Hey guys, just stopping by with a question. Is Zach presumed to be done for the season, or is there expectation that he'll be back for the playoffs?

Thanks. Good luck 2nd half.

Though it's not official, he's presumed done -- I'd be surprised if anyone here thinks he's back this season. Crickets from the Blazers (which is the right way to go at this point). Thanks for the "good luck." The Blazers can use it.

EDITED: d-train was quite succinct. I guess my reply is the long version.

Not to us. We would have to trade $22M worth of contracts, zero chance of that.

The counter-argument to that is that the Pistons were one of the worst offensive teams at the time, and the game has completely changed over the last 15 years. Given the coaching staff and roster makeup, they'd have to out-score opposing teams versus out-defend opposing teams. Stop choking away double digit leads and give Portland a player capable of helping Dame close out games and it's not unrealistic.

Bagley is a legit Trader Bob/Olshey reclamation project that if you can get cheap, you have to try. But a 21 year old former #2 pick is probably going to cost Portland more than they are willing to pay.

Guessing future first or GTJ.

You're overvaluing Trent and a future pick in the ~20 range.

Blazers don't have the outgoing salary to bring Aldridge back without crippling the team's depth. Great target in free agency, though.

He had a surgery in late December with a 4-6 month timeline, so at best he would be back late in April. The season goes until mid March so it's possible he will be back if everything goes well. But we don't really know.

It would be great if he made it back in time to play the Lakers in the playoffs. Could use an extra defensive long body against Davis.

Would you guys do Aaron Gordon and Ennis for Covington, Hood, and a future 1st?

AG is better than Covington and Ennis is better than Hood, in my opinion.

Your opinion is wrong. Hood is available, but not for Ennis. RoCo is off the table. The only player you have that we would want is Isaac and he has a PPP.

AG is definitely not better than Roco. Maybe for a rebuilding team that highly values youth, but that is not what the Blazers are looking fir right now. The IQ of Covington is invaluable, and he is an incredible fit. AG is still intriguing and a good player too, and I imagine the Blazers would be interested, but not at the cost of Covington.

No way we'd trade Ennis straight up for Hood.

i wonder what we could offer for ag as we are rumored to be interested. Is olshey thinking Jones + hood? Doubt that’d be enough
