Man I was hoping for a Nurkic sized surprise, would have settled for a CJ sized one... alas... bitter disappointment.

Hopefully we will get one of those two back next week, and both before the deadline.

Nasir little has a chance to be a very good player. People scoff at the blazers young players in the trade board but there is some real potential in these guys

Soon people on the trade board will start just putting the Blazers young players in as toss ins on trades or say Portland needs to trade them because Portland won't be able to resign them.

Hey at least it was a much closer game than the last time we played Phoenix!

I also though CJ might play in this game, from some of the practices I have seen he looks pretty good.

Yeah I’m kinda torn on the Gary Trent stuff, I would deal simons in a heartbeat although I think he’s talented, but little would be a tough guy to move off. Weirdly enough his defense is what’s lacking behind and he’s developed into a pretty dang good shooter. If Olshey doesn’t go for it with dame the future of this team might be better than I though coming into the season. I still think we should be swinging for the fences but I doubt it will happen

If I could leverage Gary into a longer-term better fitting piece (like Aaron Gordon) I would do so. Of all of the kids I agree that best prospect of the bunch is Nassir. Nassir can legitimately guard 1 - 4, and I am not worried about finding a guard who can chew up the 15 or 18 minutes left behind by CJ & Dame. We always seem to be able to find a guard to fill that role.

Frankly If you were to make a deal for Gordon I don't think it would be crazy to see line-ups like: Dame or CJ + 3 of (DJJ, Nassir, Roco, Gordon) and one of Nurk or Kanter when Dame or CJ sits.

Last night was a frustrating game, and one that felt like Portland should have had. That said, we're still in a great position, most teams would have crumbled losing two of their best three players.

Looking forward to the team being back to full strength soon.

was not happy with Trent's shot selection last night - really forced way too many IMO, like a guy playin for a contract eh?

Little's 3PT shot looks really, really good. He is consistently hitting them a few feet behind the line. Wasnt expecting this type of shooting from him so soon.

This game sucked. Lead through 3 quarters, just to give it away in the 4th. These are the type of games that will bite the Blazers in the butt at the end of the season when they're 1 game behind 4th place, 5th place, etc.
