What a strange game in comparison to the last one. Zero assists from Dame and only 10 as a team, and Portland still looks likely to win!

Solid win....I wondered what a bad shooting night for Gary would look like. Couldn't buy a bucket tonight.

This game was won on the defensive end overall, if we let Pel's play their inside game we likely lose this game by 10-20. Offense was flowing in the first half mostly, but it really dropped off in the second half but the Blazers were really taking the Defensive end seriously for the most part.
I like what I am seeing from this team on the defensive end near the end of the 1st Pelican's game and almost for the entirety in tonight's game.
CJ is also a huge help to the bench unit he gives them another powerful offensive threat when Lillard sits.

I forgot how it feels to not have the team execute on offense like a chicken with its head cut off when Dame sits. CJ isnt John Stockton, but compared to the guys we have been trotting out when Dame sits he might as well be. His gravity helps compensate for some natural playmaking shortcomings.

Aside from a couple of games, that guy has had nothing but bad shooting games for the past month. I was actually in favor of giving Simon's an opportunity last night.

It was ugly, but winning UGLY is PROGRESS. First half of the season if Portland shoots like this it's a 20 point loss.
