Well, on one hand I can’t imagine Porzingis will be *completely* useless for Dallas next game, on the other I hope we can clean up some of the dirty chemistry... last game we won simply by talent and CJs return to normal. I don’t see this one being so easy to grab

Mavs are going to pull out all the stops to win this game, if the Blazers win it they sweep the season series from them.

Can we just let Porzingas shoot every time? Perhaps we might catch up then.

Mavs outshooting the Blazers by a ton, more than double from 3 point land, and almost double from the field. Pretty damn tough to win any game where that is happening.

Unless he sucks. Then that backfires any shot they have to move him.

He played a hell of a game two nights ago, acting like he is out there sucking every minute on the court is a joke. It's also funny pointing at him when most of the roster couldn't buy a bucket tonight.

I guess we have differing opinions as to what a hell of a game looks like. He did not have a bad game, but he is nothing special. I have nothing against him, but he does not bring much to this roster. Pretending he is a ball handler is a joke. He's only playing because Olshey's plan to turn Simons into the backup PG has failed miserably. The Blazers had a backroom deal last year and that is why he's being paid $10M this year. I have no problem with that. In fact, his salary just might help bring back a decent rotational player. The Blazers should capitalize on that!!! Is Hood the worst player in the league? No, but he's not too far from that.

Rodney Hood
36.7% - FG%
30.0% - FG3%
75.0% - FT%
42.9% - eFG%
5.4 - PER
-0.6 - WS
4.8 - PTS
1.9 - TRB
1.2 - AST

Anfernee Simons
39.4% - FG%
40.9% - FG3%
80.0% - FT%
53.7% - eFG%
11.7 - PER
0.5 - WS
8.0 - PTS
2.3 - TRB
1.4 - AST

Just play Simons. He's flawed, but produces more. Sure, Hoods got a few more inches on him so he's able to guard bigger players, but does not produce enough offensively to really make it worthwhile. I'd sit Hood and split his minutes between Simons and Little. Now Little is someone we might be able to get excited about.

Nassir Little
46.5% - FG%
38.9% - FG3%
85.7% - FT%
57.1% - eFG%
13.8 - PER
0.8 - WS
5.3 - PTS
2.6 - TRB
0.4 - AST

I’m in full agreement with you. It’s cool so many people are quick to stand up for Rodney, he’s a great dude... but he’s a quarter of the player he used to be and his minutes are highly questionable. But, you could say the same about a lot of guys, so I’d say let’s just drop the minutes a bit on avg, and if he’s in a zone - reward him that particular night

Yeah. Hood is great. Was excited when we traded for him. Was excited when he stayed with Portland for the mini-MLE. Thought it was a nice gesture that Portland paid it forward by giving him a pay raise with their remaining cap space. But there's no reason he should be getting minutes over Trent, Little, and Simons. It's debatable that he should even be getting minutes over Elleby. Again, not a knock on Hood. Injuries suck, especially when they happen to players that legit put the work in.
