The Pistons are bad this year, and the Blazers are rested. Hopefully there isn't much drama and the Blazers don't play down to their competition.

powell has absolutely torched us this season (for 43 and 36 points) so it'll be interesting to see what happens tonight when we have to worry about lillard and mccollum as well.

we aren't talented but we do play teams hard - our SRS and net rating puts us closer to the bottom-middle tier or upper-lower tier than being one of the worst teams in the league.

hopefully it's a competitive game and there's no injuries!

I know this is probably nit picking since he does have 10 and 7 but I felt like dame played an extremely lazy 1st half. Soft switches on defense, taking tough 2s when there’s easier looks. Idk maybe he’s hurt still but if that’s the case he needs to stick to facilitating and stop taking those tough 2s. Blazers treating Powell like he’s DJJ, would like to see him more involved attacking off the dribble and getting more kick outs for 3

I’m sure defense will pick up and blazers will win but that was a pretty uninspiring half

Yea... the Stottsfence is just looking awful out their in the 1st half. We've GOT TO find some way to get some off-ball movement. Planting Powell in the corner, and then compounding matters by not actually passing to him when he's there and open is just unacceptable.

Also completely unrelated to the blazers play... the damn replays this year on the broadcast are ridiculous. They play em so long we end up missing multiple plays a game because of it. Like we can wait till we go to the break for them lol

Nurkic has been back for 45 seconds basically and already made his passing known. I love Kanter, but man do I miss that passing.

And his simple presence makes everyone else seemingly play better on defense. Like, he isnt necessarily making splash plays on defense but just being on the floor seems to make everyone else play with more effort or something. Its basically inexplicable.

I think Powell looks like he will be a big help. I thought Seth Curry made a big difference at times when he was on the team, and Powell is similar with the good shooting, but can also drive, draw fouls, and probably play better defense.

When was the last time the Blazers completed a 4 game road trip 4-0?

I mean I know they aren't facing the toughest teams in the NBA on this trip, but it's still very hard to win 4 games in a row on the road.

Anyways, nice to see the Blazers really buckle down and take this Pistons team seriously. Even when CJ+Lillard were struggling their defense and some other guys stepping up kept them in it, last year if CJ+Lillard struggled half the game they would be down 20+ at halftime.

In the month of March the Blazers end up 11-4 very good month for them especially since they did face some good teams.

On the other hand, that fine passer had a ridiculous 42.9% turnover rate. Passing has costs not just benefits, despite the movie "Hoosiers."
