Maybe it is the lack of fans or something that makes the runs more pronounced?

yup, quite impressive. If you’d told me they’d shoot 56 percent and be up by only 7 at the half i’d take it!

As a Clippers fan, you guys are a very tough out, good game.
But my god Carmelo Anthony is just a horrible player and not someone you can ever count on in the playoffs.
Stop giving him so many touches, get Nurkic healthy again and we'd have a hell of a series.

Would have been a close game if Blazer didn't give up 47 points in the 1st quarter.

If you wanted to see some all-time bad ball, you should have seen Melo at the 5 when Nurkić and Giles were out.
Still, he is what he is. One night, he can shoot 50% and put up 18 points offensively on relatively high efficiency. The next night he goes 1/8 or 2/11. Best thing for both him and the team would be to load manage and play 2 games a week tops euro-ball style. So naturally that won't happen. Still valuable on a minimum contract. Just a reminder that father time remains undefeated.

Carmelo has stretches of good games and bad games. I think it may have something to do with his age and how rested he is. Maybe if they strategically rested him that would help. But as is, it is a pretty big gamble to hope for him to hit a good streak during the playoffs.
I think if Portland were fully healthy it would help. Having Collins gone and Nurkic often gone does likely increase Melos minutes, with the only other big ish guys being Giles and Kanter. And Collins could help the defense a lot.

Size, size, size. The start today size wise looked like the high school reserve team against the varsity. 3 guys 6'3 and under, 1 guy 6'7, and one guy 6'10 v. 1 guy 6'1. one guy 7', and three 6'8 guys. The Clippers were shooting over the Blazers in the lane and on the 3 pt line--no deception and work like the Blazers to get clear, but simply rise up and shoot. Even if the Blazers eschewed three guards, they still would have been at a size disadvantage.
