Team has over-achieved for most of this season but Enes Kanter who has played strongly for most of this
season has looked really bad against the league MVP Jokic. If the guy could give Portland his usual solid
15 mpg, Portland would be leading 2-1

Yea, he missed too many open shots the last game and made too many turnovers the previous game.

It's really okay, Epicurus. You don't have to respond to me, I know you're going to defend Stotts. You know I'm going to point out when he's not doing great. I don't know if you're a member of the Stotts family or if you're a former coach who got canned because of players or something but it's okay, Terry can be wrong sometimes.

Lillard and Nurkic are the only 2 who bothered to show up so far.
Powell - disappointment
McCollum - clown
Melo - typical hit & miss
Kanter - WTF???
Simons - hasn't been too bad overall, still inconsistent
Covington - needs to step up more on both ends of the floor

Why do you act if it is illegitimate to "defend Stotts?" Yet it is legitimate to attack him. One doesn't need to be related to anyone to find your constant complaints unfounded and so respond. But we agree that coaches are not infallible. We disagree about whether they should be facile scapegoats.

Dame. It all begins and ends with his "Leadership", and decision making on the court. All the other players feed off of him, good or bad. That postgame tape of Dame is very telling to me. He thinks he, and the team have been playing well throughout, and it's the officiating that is to blame. When has arguing with the refs ever been a benefit for our team, and Dame just did it publicly. Not smart IMO. Nurkic getting into trouble with the refs is also on Dame IMO (as I remember Magic Johnson's winning influence on Divac).
Stotts comes in 2nd place, with his lineups and overall coaching performance. It's looking like a total repeat of last year's Laker matchup... Brilliant in game #1, then pooh-pooh stank the rest of the way.

There is nothing to be disappointed about. I would like to win every game, but nobody wins every time. There's room to improve, but Blazers are playing great. We are up against the best player in the NBA and I'm enjoying every minute of the fight. If we get past Joker, we will likely face the 2nd best player in the NBA. It's a great test of our team. So far, we look great. I'm very pleased.

I'm proud of the Blazers team. Too bad fan support has been below par and somewhat negative. Mindless negative media is normal, but usually fans are smarter and independent.
