2 guards and a backup C. Not sure of olsheys plans but with only 2 bigs on the roster I thought maybe lean more to a 3/4 wing than a 2/3. Can never have too many shooters, but you can have too many guards. Especially when only 1 can run point

To be fair, Plan A was Victor Oladipo, but injuries.

For some reason I was under the impression that he was a defensive specalist. Maybe that was his rep coming out of college?

Yeah, his college game didn't translate to the pros. I remember watching him during his last run with Kansas and he was a defensive stopper with a jump shot - neither of which are traits people would attribute to him during his NBA career. If he's another minimum contract guy for depth, great. But at the pro level, I don't think he really buys Portland anything RHJ wouldn't have bought. And at least RHJ has a legit 3" of height on McLemore.

Not opposed to this signing presuming it's a minimum contract made for depth purposes, but Olshey really needs to retain Melo/RHJ and/or reacquire Hood or something for glaringly obvious "your entire roster can't be 6'3" or shorter" reasons.

He's another former high pick from the Kings (7th) in the 2013 draft. Isn't amazing how many lottery picks the Kings have missed on?

There is a part of me that truly believes Olshay is trolling at this point. It's the only way I can rationalize his ineptitude.
