Kyrie is a headcase, and shows no motivation to be traded.
His agents claim he will retire if traded. Even if he doesn't, he only has one year on his contract. Hard pass.

I'd do CJ + 1 pick for Simmons, but Morey wants a lot more picks and swaps.

Yeah, totally agree that I'm plenty happy with Kyrie being about as far away physically from this team as possible... that said, ignoring all that, the Blazers would be in the same position as the Nets with him because of Oregon's mandates.

You think Kyrie causes problems in NY?

Imagine how many issues he would give this team being in the city of Portland, I have a feeling Kyrie would bitch about being here all the time.

Ben Simmons might actually end up liking being here, but I have a feeling Kyrie would either retire if traded here or start causing huge issues.

3 perennial whats? 2 of the 3 are perennial headcases.

It feels like you're punishing Dame by forcing him to play with the two biggest prima donnas in the league.

Kyrie also shows no motivation to actually play basketball.

And Ben shows no motivation to shoot, or to even learn how.

Disagree, Ben will have something to prove and will play with a chip on his shoulder. Kyrie will do the same.

I don't think Kyrie would be a good fit here, on or off the court.


Simmons is a maybe, he would at least work on the court, but it depends on things to which I cannot see or predict but are human level things that the GM, coaching staff and Lillard would have to feel out and make a call on. Simmons is just such a big question mark to bind ourselves to for the next 4 years.
