Dame's shooting woes continue and he continues to force too many poor shots IMO

The reffing this year has been brutal. I don't know how they miss the Cavaliers intentionally trying to foul Ant and he ends up on the floor. It's just really disgusting how bad the refs have been overall across many games and for teams all throughout the league.

Rough loss. It's not surprising the team would be off to a bumpy start given the coaching change, but it's hard to see lots of winnable games end up in the loss column.

Yeah, I don't know what to say about that. I know sometimes the refs will let the play continue in such an instance if the result had been a make for Portland, but that was a backbreaker. Missing FTs didn't help, either.

3-5 is a rough start but if we continue this same winning percentage through 20 games there’s gonna be some major talk about rebuild in the media

Remember according to olshey it wasnt the roster. Mr scapegoat built this perpetual “ good but not contending” roster

We aren't even playing up to the talent of the roster. We are worse than the sum of our parts.
Obviously we all knew Billups wasn't going to revolutionize the team and make us more than the sum of our parts but its hard to feel ANY optimism about this team right now. We dropped maybe the easiest 3 game road trip we are going to get this season.

How are refs this bad every year no matter what the rules are? I hate them all so much. Seriously why do even need them at this point? We have the technology, just automate them already with AI.

Lillard is averaging about 10 points less per game than last season on similar attempts. It's hard for a team built around him to win in that circumstance. Its hard to understand why it would last this many games without it being an injury thing. But hopefully the team and Lillard are actively figuring it out rather than just hoping it works itself out.

While the Blazers could have played this game better, the FT line is killing this team badly. Normally Blazers are a top 4 or 5 shooting FT team at worst and these last couple games we are nowhere near that.
**** 4 more made FT's in this game and it's a 1 point win.

I just checked...in the NBA media guide, on the mediocrity page there's now a picture of Olshey

It really frustrates me when players play through injuries because they're "sacrificing themselves to try and help out the team".
On the assumption that this contributed to Dame's shooting woes tonight, then NO, you are not helping the team when you stink it up with shooting accuracy.
If there's any flavour of injury reason as to why Dame is struggling - he should sit and rest ASAP. He's not helping the team with his current shooting woes, and we certainly don't want him to aggrevate an injury.
