Blazers at home means we will win this, even short-handed right? Nurkic should be feasting this game tho

I just glanced back thru the archives....in the 2017-18 season, and parts of the 2018-19 season, regular season game threads were 6-10 pages long, depending on the opponent
look on the first page of the Blazer forum. The game thread for the Utah game was 15 replies; the Denver game was 13 replies. Last night's game was 7 replies
why is this? My spidey sense says it's because people don't have any enthusiasm for the seemingly endless mediocrity of Olshey-vision. The risk-adverse management and imbalanced rosters. The team's trajectory is capped and has been for years because the talent-level is restricted by the biases of Olshey's ego
there's always a carrot dangling. There's one dangling right now because 15 of the next 19 games are at home. 40 games in Portland will very likely have a record that suggests the team is better than it actually is. An annual event. But year after year the playoffs prove the dangling carrots were always mirages. Does anybody really believe this season will be different?

Not at all, clearly headed for another first round exit, maybe if we get a favorable matchup and everyone is healthy we can make the second round. But we are capped there. Olshey continuing to trot out the same mediocrity has taken a toll even on me, who does not watch games with any expectation of winning a championship. Nance is a decent wrinkle this year, like Roco was last year, but too little too late, we needed to have acquired those level contributors 5 years ago in 2016.
The ROOT sports also has made it much more difficult for me to watch games, which makes it harder to stay engaged. Being able to record games and watch them at my leisure I caught almost every single game, now I am reduced to mostly box score watching, the occasional national broadcast and very occasionally the low quality pirate streams out there.

during my little rant the Roots sports deal skipped my mind. But I do think that's a real reflection on how the Vulcans view Blazer fans...or how they essentially disregard them. I have heard very few positive comments about Root & blazers. 10 seasons of Olshey is a bad enough comment on ownership; the Root deal doubles down on the perception. Ownership and management are just too similar I don't see a commitment to building a contender anywhere in the organization. Blazers are just a money machine to all of them....IMO
