Should Cronin had traded CJ for KP

Do you think KP for CJ would had been a better trade rather than sending him to NOLA? Also do you think he should had traded Norm for Grant? Or RoCo-Powell for Sabonis? You can’t rebuild with a bunch of 2nd round picks.

Absolutely not when you see the package Porzingis returned. But I do feel righteous vindication of the Mavs suffering this awful trade because of one of their mods hammering the Blazers and our players for the last six months on the trade board.
I WILL REVEL IN THIS MOMENT.

Also there's no way the Pacers were dealing Sabonis for RocO-Powell. They got a blue chip prospect in Haliburton for him. Norm and Roco aren't blue chip prospects. They're win now players. Indiana isn't trying to win now, that's what they traded away two of their big starters for assets.

Almost guaranteed Mavs offered this. They were rumored interested in CJ, so assuredly they offered and Blazers rejected.
Happy they passed. Too injury prone. Would rather just have the space open this summer.

Nope. KP is nice in theory, but he doesn’t make any impact.

Unicorns in basketball ... I like them as long as they aren't the fragile, soft ones. KP ... a shame. If the Pels pick is 5-14, trading CJ was a good move. Who gets picked ... I don't have a guess at this point. Someone taller than 6'6 I hope.
With a "broken back" near the end of last season and a collapsed lung this season, CJ is not looking like Mr. Reliable either ... especially being 30 with significant mileage.

It seems that many think CJ is overpaid for what he provides, so I think some could argue even without injury worries that contract is an overpay.
If it was more in the $20 million range I think it looks a lot better.

An injury prone big in POR?
Sure what could go wrong.

Part of me wants to say KP was underrated a bit. The other part of me remembers that Knick fans thought he was the absolute savior. It is always safer to vote against Knick fan opinions of popular Knick players. Good pass.

This was nearly word-for-word what I was going to post.

If the Blazers end up with the Pelicans pick this year - Hart and a pick in 5-14 for a decent draft is pretty damn solid return for CJ tbh. At least CJ on his current contract... Also, Hart has been a lot more impressive than I was expecting. He's revitalizing his career in Portland.

it would be way better than "solid" because of the addition by subtraction of removing CJ and letting Ant shine
