Over/Under on how many points CJ will score in his return to Portland?

This is a must lose game.
I think we are up to the task.

No doubt Portland will lose all their remaining games. The one game I think they could win is their last game
against the Jazz who almost certainly will be resting their players.

My over/under line would be 32.5.
I'll take the over.

Even a victory could help Portland's draft as New Orleans missing the playoffs almost guarantees we get their pick.

Am I missing something? Portland absolutely needs to win this game. The second lottery pick is way more important than catching Sac or Indiana.

Have you seen Portland's line up? Barring a miracle, Portland isn't winning this game.

Staying at 7 or losing the second lottery pick... Rough. Would you rather move up one spot or ensure we keep a second pick? Personally I want to win this one even though it's impossible. CJ is gonna play with a chip on his shoulder tonight and it's gonna irritate the hell out of me.

Hopefully Bwill goes off tonight in the second, I’ve yet to see one of his big games but I always see the box scores. SA lost tonight too, so extra pressure to win this one I feel like.

I don't think us winning will provide any assurance that we'll get New Orleans pick.
I think New Orleans are a near sure thing to make the play in. As much as I despise the Lakers I'm rooting for them to make #10 above Spurs, as I feel the Lakers with Davis playing will be a much harder match for New Orleans.
Beating them may help them NOT get home court advantage, perhaps.
I'd rather we lose today personally.

I still have doubts the Pelicans when its all said and done will beat the Lakers in the play in game if they
get Lebron and AD back. Pelicans would have to win the 9/10 game and have to beat the loser of the
Minn/LAC Clippers game to keep their pick from conveying. Pick will end up between 12-14 which is
a great spot to draft one of the backup centers in this draft

Agree, but I'm more concerned that the Lakers will miss the play-ins full stop.
Until Davis returns, the Lakers will continue to struggle winning games. Their remaining games to play are reasonably difficult too.

With how bad nearly every other team NO is battling with for the 9th or 10th spot there is no way in hell they don't make the play-in game.
If we played them like 3 times to close out the season and won all 3 that might be enough to knock them to 11th but that is not the case at all. The Pelicans are clearly better than the Spurs, and the Lakers might be better if fully healthy but that is not the case. So really the only way they don't make the playoffs is if the Clippers and T-Wolves can keep them from taking it.

I don't think the Pelicans are such a sure thing to win the #9 vs #10 game as you feel, particularly if it's the Lakers with Davis back.
Even if it's they match up against the Spurs, I'd give them a two-thirds chance of winning (but still a 33% chance of losing).
All it takes is the better team's star player to miss a fair chunk of shots, or a role player from the weaker team to get hot.
