Those two BS foul calls that were clean blocks came back to bite us. I wish Billups would have at least challenged one of them.

Simon's can't hit squat tonight so Billups let him piss away an 11 point lead in the first 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. Challenge that clean block Lillard put on Green and that's 2 points off the board.

Can the cleaning crew do their job and keep the floor around the Blazers basket dry? Our guys slipped several times tonight. Another frustrating close loss.

All of the T's, while well deserved, really hurt the team, as well.

Billups himself flat out gave Denver points tonight. Very much like the guy, but he is the worst coach in the league at challenges…even if it’s just saying team I have your back challenges.

AND the refs were atrocious tonight. Definitely very one sided and almost looked like they were trying to be so. JB sure isn’t in his dad’s league on reffing. F the Refs…

Another day, another game where Billups utterly fails with challenging.

He'll either not challenge at all, or challenge a desperate call with 60 seconds left in the game. He's utterly hopeless in that regard.

I'm a Nuggets fan, and just wanted to assure you, oh my God you weren't wrong about the refs. I swear to God they gave us a dozen points. It might be the best whistle I've ever seen--could not believe how many awful calls they made, and how every one went our way!

that was terrible way to lose the game, grant shouldnt have let murray shoot the 3-pointer, either you let him attack the basket or make a foul, worst thing that couldve happened would be the two free throws and its a tied game and maybe we would have time to get the shot to win the game and chauncey voiced his disappointment in the press

if you do well and the opponent hits the shot, oh well, nothing you can do about it, but if you mess up and opponent hits the shot, that feels different, chauncey said that they didnt do what they talked about during the time-out, which makes it worse

**** Chaucey Billups.

That's probably the 5th game he's handed away with his garbage 4th qtr coaching. I was watching with a friend and as the 4th started I said out loud, "wonder how billups is gonna blow this game". He never uses his challenges. Ever. He's an idiot. Leaving cold Simons out there to try and hero ball for 5 minutes while Dame is on fire and letting the lead slip away.

Billups is trash.

Simons was hot garbage.

Is Hart afraid to shoot?

Portland continues to be hurt from the failure of their 2017 lottery pick (Zach Collins).

There are no guarantees in the draft for Nurk is still Portland's best big but he isn't the same
player he was prior to breaking his leg. It's really Portland's biggest weakness for teams can
go to their offensive board with just Nurk and Josh Hart as Portland's only consistent rebounders.

Nurk was pretty good on offense last night IMO. Couldnt really stop Joker but who can. I think he deserves more defensive critique when middling guys own him - which has happened alot this year.

But last nights loss was on Ant. Totally useless. Has been on fire as of late but you rarely win when your 2nd option goes for 6 points or whatever on like 3-15.

Yep, offensively Nurk has been solid. His 3Pt range has been an awesome surprise.

His defense is horrible though, relative to when he was one of the best defensive big men in the game a few years ago.

Ya, its startling. And its absolutely a result of his leg break. Just never regained the lift / footspeed. Sucks for the guy, its not like he doesnt care. He just cant keep up on that end. Hard to see after how good he once was.

He may have lost what he had but he's likely going down as Portland's second big man, who had a long, productive career after LA

id like to see slim nurk again, before i say leg break is the reason he looks step slow on defense

but yeah, pre injury nurk was well on his way to becoming all-star caliber player, he was moving so well and he was dunking the ball, blocking shots, protecting the rim and now hes added 3-point shot that seems legit, what could have been...
