Lol, no one even cares anymore, and that’s the rational decision.

They suck. I really hope they move Simons. I've not been a Nurk fan for a while now, but he actually wasnt too bad tonight. If Grant wants to get paid this summer, he'd better find his shot cuz he's not worth $25 million right now.

Ya, Nurk is manageable for 15M. I would move him easily, but I really don’t think he is the problem.

Ant is not that good and we are relying on him as a #2. Some GM must be stupid enough to not realize his immense limitations and give a good haul, he is the type of fools gold that most fans see but some GM overpays for IMO. But we won’t move him because of time invested and honestly likely a FO that is one of the stupid GMs.

Didnt realize Grant finished with 25. Hes been so inconsistent lately and missed some wide open shots tonight, including that 3 late in the game that would have tied things up.

Didn't see the game, but looking at the box score we lost this one on the defensive glass and in turnovers.
Those two gave Cleveland 12 extra possessions, and despite good shooting, it's very hard to overcome.

Bench is not what we need. We can continue to blame Chauncey or Jerami or anything else but it’s the bench!! We need vets and depth, not rookies - more guards and Eubanks being our only big guy. It’s really quite simple what the problem is.
Somewhere trying not to offend Texas Chuck.

This is very much in line with Olshey. He always depended on youth and development and never put vets that knew their role and could provide 15-20 minutes of solid play.

I would happily trade all of our young players for second round picks and sign guys like Melo, Cousins and Bledsoe. Hell, I’d even sign blazers legend and all time great 6th man Jamal Crawford, at 40 the guy is still a bucket. There’s plenty of veterans still available that would vastly outplay the likes of Johnson, Watford and Eubanks. Cronin sucks, he’s Olshey 2.0 which makes a lot of sense considering he was his right hand man his entire tenure.

I know no one wants to hear it but as much potential as Sharpe has, who knows if he’ll put it all together. He looked great his first few games but his shot has vanished and so his has ability to create for himself. By no means is that a reason to give up on him his rookie year but if he’s part of a package that can bring back a proven star, I’m trading him. In fact he’s probably our best trade piece. People balked at the idea off Trading for Durant but he’s having his best year to date at 34, and now he’s most likely untouchable.

Free up our picks by changing the protection on the Chicago pick and use all our young guys including sharpe to get another star and go over the tax to sign some vets. White side will get you everything Nurkic does for the vet minimum and honestly he’s better than nurk anyways. Lou Williams is old but he would give us points off the bench, something we haven’t had in years and for the minimum.

Maybe Nurkic, Hart, Nas and a first gets you Tobias Harris. Sign Whiteside, Melo and Cousins. Trade Simons for Randle.

Dame/Payton
Harris/Sharpe/Williams
Grant/Winslow
Randle/Melo
Whiteside/Cousins

Say what you want but the team is wayyy better than what we currently have and by far the best team Dame has ever had. **** it, it certainly can’t be worse than what we have now.

Wait, are we playing Tobias Harris at SG?

I am down for that because it would be more entertaining than the current product. Like Boban playing forward.

I would also place money on OKC bouncing that team in the play in.

Toby at SG makes me think it has to be trolling. Dude cant guard SF. Imagine him guarding Donovan Mitchell on 30-40+ possessions per game lol.

Wow, that's horrible!

Randle/Melo
Whiteside/Cousins

May be the worst front court rotation in the entire history of the NBA. Don't you remember anything about the Blazers most recent playoff series - against DEN??? Dame set an all time playoff record for on/off. Our starters outplayed DEN's starters and consistently built double digit leads only to see them instantly vanish as soon as Stotts brough Kanter/Freedom and Melo off the bench. DEN targeted both of those guys on defense - and it worked as expected. Your rotation is worse off the bench and you just replaced Nurk/RoCo with Whiteside/Randle in the starting lineup. All four of those guys are EXACTLY the player that get targeted and played off the floor in the playoffs.

That starting lineup is also hideous on defense. Harris and Grant are both playing out of position. Harris can't guard small forwards, let alone shooting guards an Grant's best position is stretch 4. You have four VERY negative defenders and your only positive defender is playing out of position.
