Nuggets, Grizzlies, and Celtics are the three teams I really want the Blazers to avoid playing right now. Can't see this ending well at Denver. If the Blazers were ever going to rest Dame, this is probably the game to do it.

This is the healthiest we've been in months, I think we're winning this game. Dame is averaging 35 a game over his last 5 and I think he's gonna have another big game tonight, as well as Nurkic, who always gets up for games against his former team.
Denver's a tough team to beat at home though, so we'll see but I'm not worried about resting Dame. He usually goes off this time of year to establish himself as an all star, and this year has been no different.

He's already missed 12 games. How much rest does he need?

Actually, he's averaging 38.0 ppg over his last 5 games.
He's also only had 1 TOV in each of his last 3 games. Prior to this streak, he'd only committed fewer than 2 TOVs in two games all season.
He's scoring more (and efficiently) and taking care of the ball. This is the Damian Lillard we all know and love!

That was certainly some interesting reffing at points.

Caught the second half via radio and the radio guys were vehemently complaining about the refs. Was it as glaringly awful as it sounded?

Well at one point on a 50/50 loose ball in the middle of the court, Shaedon got pushed in the back and to the floor without contacting anyone and.. got called for the foul.
He also got thrown out of bands later in the game with no call.
Dame got kicked in the stomach and it was a common foul.. mind you, he had been fouled twice on the play already they didn't call.
Both Dame and Chauncey got techs in the fourth quarter.
It was.. not great reffing. Denver did a good job and probably would've won anyways, but.. not great reffing.

Well at least I was right about Dame. Simons playing like trash again, Nurk too. I guess 2 good games in a row is asking too much.
Refs make the game almost unwatchable for me these days, were they always this bad? I swear they're all point shaving. I could tolerate some of this bs if there were repercussions for their ineptitude. Not sure what the solution would be.... Maybe the refs could all have ear pieces and the replay center in new Jersey could notify them when a foul is committed? What seems very obvious on TV some how escapes their vision. I don't really understand what they're looking at half the time. That siakam pass to no one a few games back should've gotten those refs fined after they called it out on the blazers and had to challenge it.
They make the game worse, they're wrong more than they're right and there's no reason this should go on with the technology available. It's a hundred billion dollar industry, there's no excuse.

That went about as expected. You don't win many games when you give up 73 first half points.

The coach needs more challenges, but then that slows the game down which they dont want. What's the solution? Maybe they should part a ref on every corner of the court, as well as both sides of mis court. Then every player might foul out, hahaha.

Thanks for that. Travis Demers sounds like he can go a bit overboard with criticism of the refs, but Dame and Chauncey getting techs seems to indicate it really was pretty bad.
