yeah i know call me crazy but im just curious with the way the team is going are they showcasing DAME for a off season trade ?
i think DAME is going after the scoring title something he's never had and the blazers could be using that to boost up his value and bring in a nice haul.
all depends on the draft either we go in on a EMBID trade or go young and regroup .
idk just spitballing whatt you guys think ?

Team in their year ending interview with Dame will have to have an honest discussion with Dame.
If he wants to stay, they will need to be honest with him for unless they get lucky and win the lottery
for Victor, its not going to end well for him in Portland. If he wants to leave, I would expect the team
will do their best to honor where he wants to go. Presumably they will not maximize value in any Dame
trade that sends him where he prefers to go.

If you’re big on dame then I doubt anyone should be worried.. it’s too late now, the time to trade was last year. And Dame knows the grass ain’t always greener on the other side so even if they want to trade him from here on out, lillard prob do all he can to not get it done, unless the blazers beg him lol… I was hoping for the trade last year cause blazers could’ve got a legitimate rebuild , but now i doubt it

Dame doesn’t need showcasing.

I would imagine they already had that conversation, which led to the comment by Lillard that winning a championship isnt everything (not an exact quite). Maybe Lillard goes somewhere to try and win a championship, but not until he finishes this contract and maybe his last year in the league. I'm not convinced he does that.

i didnt mean showcasing him like he's a unknown or some upstart potential player. i meant that maybe they let him go out and get the scoring title to raise a little more value for this off season.
imho i think DAME winning the scoring title could draw some interest from some teams.
on a different but kinda same note im personally tired of reloads, lets move forward on a rebuild. the team as is wont be a contender.
grant, nurk, simons are not champion contender starter type players.im ready for a revamp

Grant for sure is a champion caliber starter, but as the 4th option. If he was willing to be lower usage like the Grant in DEN he could be one of the top role players in the league, on par with guys like Mikal, OG and such. But he isnt willing to play that role really. He wants to be a #2 at minimum, and he sure as hell isnt a #2 option on a championship team. Not even a 3.
Alas we will pay him 30M and keep treading water while making no forward movement in the stream.

I could see Grant being a third option, but he needs to be a bit more dominant. Sliding him to SF might help with that and allow the Blazers to find a more dominant PF to defend and rebound.
