There was some talk of Detroit making a run at Grant this coming off season and he might be
motivated to put up 50 to get that contract offer.

He might want to be in Detroit next season, especially if they finish with a top 3 pick and end
up winning the lottery for Victor They'd be tough with Victor, Duren and Grant up front with
Cunningham and Ivey in their back court

Ugly game. Portland looked sharp early and from the middle of the 3rd to the middle of the 4th but looked sluggish and careless outside of that. It was still good enough to beat Detroit.

I expect Portland will be lucky to get a win in the last 3 games of the road trip, but we'll see.

Good to see him filling up the stat sheet. Would be nice if he had a team around him

I was very impressed with what I saw from Watford in this game, he played some solid defense and hit some nice shots. He might be a hell of a role-player in a few years, but he already is worth 15 minutes a game easily.

Lillard has another great night, but I really want to look at what pieces on this team might be valuable going forward beyond the obvious ones.

Well the Blazers got on a plane last night and arrived in Detroit late, meanwhile the Pistons were not playing on a B2B and slept at their homes. Even more impressive this was 3 games in 4 nights all on the road, so if one team should look a bit out of sorts it's the Blazers.

Blazers, Jazz, Lakers, and Pelicans currently in a four-way tie for seeds 9-12

Yep, we are also only 2.5 games out of 6th place, the Blazers do have the 2nd hardest remaining schedule though in the entire NBA. So if they are going to prove they belong in the playoffs they are going to have to do it against mostly teams at .500 or better.

I think this is the best case scenario for the last 17 games, make the Blazers prove their playoff worth against mostly good teams. Better than having some joke of a schedule for the last 17 games making it far easier to get in.

TOs trying to make difficult plays are excusable. TOs from stupid passes around the perimeter seem to be this team's trademark. Just off this game Ivey a way better player than Sharpe. But Dame is superman so pdx beats the worst team in the league.

about me: unhappy happy Knicks fan: Loving the winning, but hating the fact we're acting like a win now team when we got no shot. But, winning helps the players on my team that I think might be involved in a serious championship run like Brunson, Grimes, Mitch, Quickely... but winning keeps some of our biggest long term weaknesses like Thibs and Julius as a 2nd option...and I'm here b/c of Cam who I think will at worse be a fringe allstar... watched more games than expected b/c... well, Dame.

I know I am not on you guys plane of existence, if I had the pleasure of watching Dame all these years I would not have a positive outlook b/c pretty much blazers have wasted this man's career. So please take my post with that in mind.
You guys had a rude awakening last year -- you weren't good enough, you never were--- you had a puncher's chance b/c you have an all time great. B/c of this, you guys had to make some changes. Hart is not a difference maker on a pretender. He did the same thing for you guys that he is now doing for the knicks. I think he would actually be more affective with you, as we already have a physical, great rebounding team.
I think you guys are better in the long run trying out Reddish and Thybulle-- cheaper younger versions that are no where near their potential. I love how Billups is integrating Cam, Thybulle, Dame, and Grant(not to mention Sharpe and Little). It will be seamless when Ant returns. The question is will you get a near - Dame level player in the summer?

Of coures, your owner can just be a cheap Bastard who doesn't care about winning.
